we get back home late friday night, but we aren't doing anything right now before bed so here are some quick thoughts on where we've been so far:

CS
cantina de san angel - really gross. we shared the tacos de carne and a guacamole plate. the tacos were all sorts of nasty and the chips that came with both the guac and tacos were stale. the guac was okay, but i've definitely had way better. i had churros for dessert and roomie had one of those frozen fruit bars. the churros were great and my guess is that the fruit bar was good, since roomie ate it all

sunshine seasons breakfast - both of us had the breakfast platter. i didn't get sausage or bacon and added a bagel. eggs were fine, biscuit was stale/hard, potatoes were okay but seemed undercooked. bagel was fine. roomie was not full and got an additional side of scrambled eggs, which was way more eggs than the platter itself came with, which i thought was interesting.

wpe lunch - i got the turkey club something sandwich without bacon or onions and french fries. i was pretty happy i could get it without bacon and onions, as i tried to get this last year and was told i couldn't have it if i wanted to modify it. it was really good. french fries were fine. roomie got the spaghetti and meatballs and was satisfied, but i thought the meatballs were a tad underseasoned. we got creme brulee for dessert and ended up sharing one instead of having both because we were pretty full.

cosmic rays dinner - we both got burgers because some of the bays were closed in preparation for MVMCP. burger was fine but the buns were a little thick for me. the CS chocolate cakes in the parks are really not good at all. i dislike the lack of dessert variety.

columbia harbor house lunch - i got the tuna sandwich and it was quite nice. i especially liked that my whole grain bread was toasted. roomie got the salmon which i didn't try, but he finished it all and he liked that his side was couscous instead of the regular fries. more bad chocolate cake (i don't know why i thought it would be better this time...) this was a first for us and we were happy.

pinocchio's village haus lunch - i got chicken nuggets and fries, roomie got the chicken parm. mine were your basic chicken nuggets and fries, nothing to write home about. roomie's parm looked unappealing, but he ate it and said it was "okay". we got gelato for dessert here. it was nice since it was pretty warm out.

TS
chef mickey's breakfast - we liked everything, though i thought the potatoes were undercooked. good selection of breakfast foods. we had a late ressie (12:25 pm), which i totally recommend since we got extra character time. it's hard to mess up breakfast food, so on the food front, it's nothing special but still good. it's somewhere we'd go for the characters. we plan on returning.

chefs de france dinner - we LOVE it here. i got the french onion soup, duck, and creme brulee. roomie got the same except lobster bisque instead of onion soup. the onion soup is absolutely to die for. i see no reason to go to epcot without getting one of these. the duck was delicious, though the leg was much more tender than the breast meat. also, watch out for the cherries - biting into them will give you a huge splash of alcohol in your mouth. creme brulee is some of the best i've ever had, though it was topped by a different TS for the first time in years.

ohana dinner - i had a lapu lapu with my dinner and man, oh, man.. let's just say the advice our server gave me as we left was "stay off the teacups for at least an hour". good stuff. we both really liked it here and it has also been put on our return list. my complaints are that the chicken was cold by the time it got to us and the edges of the potstickers were really too crunchy and not pleasant, but i just cut them off and then was happy again. i didn't try the pork. everything else was great and i can see why it's so popular

artist point - our winner so far. i had the beets and goat cheese app, beef tenderloin with pumpkin fettucine instead of potatoes, and creme brulee. roomie had lots of wine, the veal, and the chocolate dessert. i'm fairly certain i could live off the onion soup from chefs de france and the beets and cheese from here and be perfectly happy for the rest of my life. i very seriously considered canceling my entree and asking for 3-4 more of this app as my meal. it was incredible. there were some bits of onion that were too big for my liking, but i just moved them aside and i was back in heaven. the tenderloin was good. the pumpkin fettucine was interesting, and i actually thought it was going to be more like spaghetti squash where it's the actual vegetable, but this was pasta with some pumpkin sauce or coating. it was good, just not what i was expecting. this was the creme brulee that beat chefs de france's. i tried roomie's veal, but i didn't have more than a tiny bite because he orders his food rare and i get mine medium well. the cooked bit that i tried was very good. the chocolate indulgence wasn't sweet enough for me, and i'm not a big cherry fan, but i can see how others would like it. this is our #1 thus far.

narcoossees - one thing that surprised me here was that there were no apps that either of us wanted. we'll usually find something or share one, but this time we didn't like any of the choices. i had the surf and turf and pecan tart, roomie had the lobster and almond cheesecake. my food was fine, but i'm not a lobster person, apparently. my family has lobster all the time and i always try a bite here or there and i'm never really into it. this ended up being the same. i'd heard that narcoossees does lobster really well, so i thought i should order it, but i'm glad i had the filet waiting for me because it's really not the food for me. roomie, on the other hand, devoured his food and happily took the lobster i didn't want. he was so full he wasn't going to order dessert, so i got to pick the 2 that sounded the best to me. my pecan tart was great, but oh my goodness. that cheesecake. there are no words to describe how delicious it is. once roomie tried it, he declared it as his dessert, and i only got 2 heavenly bites. the bites i had were incredible. i would return just for that cheesecake. i'm considering popping over to the grand floridian on the day we leave to sit at the bar and have a drink and some cheesecake.

that's it for now! tomorrow we have jiko and an undetermined CS and then more CS on our departure day (sadface! leaving all the yummies). it's possible i'll put up some pictures when i get back. we took some pictures when we felt like it lol

hope that helps someone! if you have specific questions, feel free to ask and i'll try to help you :)

thanks for your reviews so far....I am counting the days...even though its not for another four months..
Thanks Again

update after forever:

jiko - i again started with the beets and cheese, which were good but not quite as good as at artist point. both roomie and i got the filet for dinner and i subbed green beans for mushrooms. the filet was delicious, definitely the best i had all trip. for dessert, i got one last cup which was cute and was much more filling than it looked. i scooped the cinnamon mascarpone off of the mousse, however, as i didn't like the flavors mixed. roomie got the parsnip creme brulee and we were both surprised at how similar it tasted to pumpkin pie filling. my guess is that the spicing was pretty much the same.

cosmic ray's - we both got the rotisserie chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. the mashed potatoes were surprisingly great - very garlicy, which is how we like them. the chicken was also very good and moist. we were very pleased that this was a CS credit, as i was a hearty, filling meal. we would definitely get it again. desserts were chocolate and mango gelato, which were very nice since it was in the 80s.

abc commissary - not sure why everyone hates it here. i had a burger, roomie had the chicken curry. we get these every year we come, and they're fine. nothing spectacular, but good enough. roomie got the strawberry parfait for dessert and i got the chocolate mousse. both were good.

wolfgang puck express - disappointing for me. i got the pennette chicken alfredo and it was bland. roomie got the salmon plate and finished it. we both got creme brulee again and it was good, as always.

my final rankings for TS:
1. artist point
2. chefs de france
3. ohana
4. jiko
5. narcoossee's
6. chef mickey's

roomie's rankings:
1. artist point
2. jiko
3. narcoossee's
4. chefs de france
5. ohana
6. chef mickey's

we'll say that we really enjoyed our TS meals and we're happy with the variety we experienced. we would definitely return to artist point, ohana, and chefs. the rest we may skip some years and do others. the only one we weren't 100% sold on was chef mickey's, but it's a breakfast buffet and very different from the other places we tried. we did greatly enjoy the character interaction, however, so we would return for that
