This was reported in a Compuserve article as the most expensive hotel room in the world. It's the Bridge Suite at the Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas and it costs $25,000 per night. Checkin time is 2pm and checkout time is 11am.
This is a copy and paste from the article that lists some of the more important amenities that come along with it:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
$25,000/night: Atlantis Bridge Suite in The Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas
This 10-room suite that is decorated in red, black, and lots of gold is actually located on top of a bridge, overlooking the entire resort and marina. Amenities: Butler, bar lounge, entertainment center, 12-foot ceilings, hand-painted linens, marble baths, and dolphin bathroom fixtures.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The article didn't specificly mention that you would get pool and beach privileges, but I would imagine that the Butler would know how to get you some of the wrist bands.
I'm just astounded by this room rate. If you break the cost down to the hourly rate for the 21 hours in the first day (2pm to 11am) it would be $25,000 / 21 = $1190 per hour. Not sure if they have a resort tax on top of that or not. Also not sure if I could sleep for 8 hours knowing that it was costing me $9520 to do that. No idea who stays there at this price, but on a Historical Harbor Tour shore excursion, we were told that it's a favorite of Michael Jackson.
