What did you buy your bridesmaids? How much did you spend? Where id you buy it? HELP! :sad2:

Well, I only had one attendant, and didn't go "Disney" on the gift. My niece was my MOH and I got her dress, shoes, and earrings. If I hadn't gotten her dress and shoes I would just have given her the earrings as her gift. After the wedding I had a picture of her and I framed and engraved the frame "My Niece - My Friend - My Maid of Honor" and the date.

All the times I've been a BM or MOH I've gotten earrings or other jewelry. One thing I really liked was a bracelet with a heart charm that the bride had engraved with each of our initials (so I got a "J"). The brides have intended that jewelry be worn for the ceremony, which keeps everything nice and uniform I guess. A Disney charm bracelet would be nice.

Sorry that probably wasn't very helpful :)

Hi there!

I did not have bridesmaids...I had a bridal party of 'dudes'. A dude-of-honor, best dude, etc. But, what we did was pay for breakfast the day of the wedding (he paid for all the men including my dad & i paid for the 2 moms & 2 other girls attending the wedding). We also paid for everyone to attend a Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party in the Magic Kingdom. We figured this would be better especially since some people were tight for money going to WDW for the wedding. We also had welcome bags waiting with beanies of the 7 dwarfs for the wedding party.

I am not sure if you are having your wedding in WDW so this may not help you at all but if you are then maybe you could consider treating for some kind of meal or something. We liked this idea because people were already spending money to get there and stay, the meal & party tix were worth more for them. We also paid for other little things here and there. I don't know if this counts but we also did an illuminations dessert party and everyone pigged out. I highly recommend the illuminations dessert party!! So, there were alot of things we did throughout the 5 days period for our guests & bridal party as opposed to just giving them each one gift.

Just some thoughts based on what we did....you have to do what feels right to you.

Have A Disney Day

I'm getting them their jewelry to wear with their dresses and a bag with their names on it to carry all their stuff they need that day. And for fun, I got them the pink Mickey ears with their names embroidered on. 2 of them have never been to Disney World.

I was just thinking of posting this today...as I was wondering too. I thought about buying them my favorite things....I found mickey totes to put them in. SO far I bought each a serasoft blanket, the tote and my favorites fuzzy socks that I sleep in at night. I am not sure what else....I am buying everything at half off. I would like to find makeup bags or something else. Depending on cost of gown though I may stop and then pay 50 of that? Any other Ideas?

For my bridesmaids we went to the Arbiss Brothers (I spelled it wrong) and had the small "Cinderella" glass slippers ingraved with our names and wedding date. I also gave them the baby jar yankee candle of the flowers in their bouqet.

I did jewelry too...I bought polynesian reversible bags off disneydeals.com (totally didn't go with their dresses and the polynesian had nothing to do with our day but very cute and a little disney memento) and put their jewelry for the day in there. I always think of that is a lame gift--but it really isn't cheap...

For our bridal party we bought them APs to DL. We figured that it would be well worth it as many of them were making multiple trips to see the mouse with us. I had briefly considered jewlry but decded against it was we all have different tastes.

for my moh i bought her airfare & dress. i am giving her a jewelry set at the rehearsal dinner & a gift bag with disney baby items (since shes 5 1/2 months pregnant). were also going along with my mom, fmil & female readers to the gf spa for massages & then to lunch at cinderellas royal table. i bought little cinderella glass slippers at wdw & had them etched with their names for each special lady at lunch.

There is a store out here (Las Vegas) called Things Remembered. I'm not sure if it's nation wide or not. Anyways my MOH went with me to get our tosting glasses and cake cutter. She found this really pretty picture frame that said "Maid of Honor" on the top and "Best Friends" on the bottom. She kinda hinted that she wanted it, so I'm going to give her the picture frame and make her a photo album of everything that we have done together. It sounds kinda lame, but she's not a jewerly wearing girl. :p
Let me know what you guys think or if there is something else besides the frame that I can give her

Brighton and Crate and Barrel have some cute things. Brighton has these cute silver heart clocks that are tiny. Crate and Barrel have some wonderful vases for a gift for people that help you out for your wedding, that aren't badly priced.

We went with a spa theme in a "sea mist" green- very light green:

-Matching bathrobes- we have some adorable pictures of them all matching
-Slippers (that actually came with the bathrobe... thank goodness! I didn't want to try to match the colors on that one!)
-Bath salt the same color of the robes
-Candle (aptly named "Calming") in the right color
-A bride's dress ornament (Christmas time)
-Orbit's gum (packaged in the right color green)
-Their jewelry- neckalaces and earrings
-Hair and make-up the day of the wedding
-Handwritten note

For my MOH, I found the most perfect neckalace- a pea pod in silver that had 5 peas- 3 were in silver and two of them were green "pearls". It was adorable!

Although it sounds like a lot looking at it now, we really price hunted. The bathrobes and slippers were the biggest expenditure (except for hair/make-up) and they were about $30 a piece. Well worth it for how soft and cozy they were! The bath salt, candle, and gum all came from the dollar store. The bride's dress ornament was a Target find. Jewelry was already beautifully boxed together for $10 after all the applicable sales on it.

I went to Things Remembered and got frames engraved with the date and put a "voucher" in the picture slot for a picture of their choice from the wedding photographer.

I got my MoH (had no bridemaids) pink pearl jewelry for the wedding day to match her dress.
