Those that had pictures on GF beach...

Did you have to take your shoes off?

If you had a train did it get dirty and does the sand brush off / stain?

I'm just wondering whether to tie my train up for it.

I had shots on the beach and didn't have any problems. Actually my dress got dirty at the AAR where our ceremony was held (apparently they had forgotten to mop the floors  ) I kept my shoes on (I had on Sketchers) and I didn't have any problems. Depending on your shoes you might get some sand in them, but it wasn't bad at all :thumbsup2

Ooo thats a good question! I'm wearing flipflops so I guess I'm bound to get sand in them  But on the day, I might end up wearing heels possibly last minute so things like this are always good to know :thumbsup2

I wore my shoes in the sand, they were heels, I just didn't feel like taking them off..dress was dirty before I went in the sand though lol.

I wore my heals as well. I had closed in shoes and had had a pedicure (I know you couldn't see my feet just made me feel nice from head to toe)!! and the sand rubbed the nail polish off, but it didn't matter we were married by then and the photes are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo worth it.

I agree, our GF beach pics are some of my favorites. I had flip flops and left them on. As others have said, my dress was already dirty before I got to the beach, and I didn't really even care by that point. I left my train down and I was really happy with how it looked in the pics.

My dress got really dirty form our pics on the GF Beach, I didn't notice it at the time, but when I got home the bottom was completely covered. I have had to put it to the dry cleaners 3 times to get it properly cleaned. I do notice it in some of our MK pics though.

To be honest though I would do it ten times over as some of our best pics were on the beach, including the one in my siggie! I also wore flip flops and I got loads of sand in them, but it was just sand so it didn't bother me.

Definitely recommended if you can do it.

We were married at sunset point, so we were outside the whole time anyway. Our beach pictures were from the Poly and my dress was horribly dirty by the time we were done with everything. I have to say that when I got home, I just tossed it in the washer on 'hand wash' and it came out fabulous!

I am going to do beach pictures too! For those of you who had shoes on... did you sink in the sand? That was my only thought.

Did anyone go & look with your photographer @ places to take pictures before the wedding? My photographer has asked if I want to do this, of course I said yes!

Paul (dis photographer) took my shoes off for me and told me my train had to go up - luckily my one friend who knew how to do it hadn't left for the cake cutting yet! My dress didn't get dirty since it was up, but the sand right next to the WP is very soft so it would have been all in my shoes and all over my train if I hadn't followed instructions.

Those that got a dirty train from the sand - Will it brush off?

I have a reception at home and want to keep it as clean as possible for that, but i do want the beach pictures - they are a must have.

Thanks for all your replies :thumbsup2

I wore my heels and it was fine. I sunk in to the sand a little but no big deal. Also the sand was soooooo clean it did not dirty my dress at all. My photog just helped flip the train a bit to get the sand off. These are some of my fav pics! These are just a few of them...

I really want beach pics, but I'm worried about the timing. We only have misty for 4 hours and I think only 1.5 hours after the ceremony. :( Does anyone have pics from the SBP beach? How long did it take to get to the GF beach?

Hey Alissa...here is SBP beach..well I think it is the Yaght club beach or beach club..I don't remember. We walked over a bridge to get there.
