ok tell me what you think.

I was given bride/groom ballcaps. The bride is white with lace and sequin appliques and has a short veil attatched. The Grooms is black with a "tuxedo" front. I think I will take mickey ears from one of the five billion pairs we have around the house and attatch them to these hats. I cant wear the beanies.. my head is wayyy to big.. and the headband looks like the veil is to long to not become cumbersome. I cant see it surviving Space mountain or Big thunder railroad.

1. Do you think this is cheating and I should just suck it up and buy the ones at WDW?

2. Do you think we would get the same "specail attention" that we'd get if we were to buy the Disney ones?

hmmmm let me know princess:

I would suck it up and by the ones there. They are really cute. I love that the guys wear a top hat with ears.

I like your idea! We are going there in Sept. for our honeymoon and was having the same concerns about wearing the little beanie or that sequined headband. I think a baseball cap with ears would be cute! I may just do it myself :)

you won't be alone! I have heard of other people doing it and I plan to do it myself, so I wouldn't worry about it!

I think this is a great idea - I won't be able to get Paul to wear mickey ears for love or money except for the Rehearsal.

So I'm gonna get him one of those baseball caps that says GROOM on it just so people know "he's with me" LOL

But yeah go for it, put the ears on the baseball caps - I'm sure you'll have loads of people coming up to you asking where you got them from ;) ;)

Fantasia Sam.

I see your from the UK. Just wondered do you know if mousseshoppe delivers to the uk as I really want the headband as I not to keen on the beanie style I think it will annoy me. Also do you roughly know how much it costs to get it sent over hear. One more question do they sell th mens mickey hats in the all the disney parks?

Minnie 24

Minnie - to be honest I don't know because a friend actually got them for me and then shipped them to me whilst I was on holiday at WDW.

Just ring them and ask - I'm sure it will be at a cost. Otherwise I can get a friend to go and get them from DL as she goes regularly as she lives in LA and she'll ship them to me and I can then send them on to you - if you want :)

The grooms hats are found at all Disney Parks :)

we did this!! my DH and i were married in orlando and honeymooned at WDW in sept of 2002. i really liked the idea of wearing the bride and groom ears, but with my hair, the beanie would just not work for me. si we purchased the bride and groom baseball caps from david's bridal and fixed them up a bit!

dh also made a headband for me to wear so that my wedding hair wouldn't get messed up...

we purchased some tulle and attached it to the top of my ballcap for the veil...they were so cute and quite a hit! we had cm's everywhere asking us where we got our hats!

Thank you Sam I will definately consider that idea of you posting me as long as it's no hassel. I did contact Mouseshoppe and they said will cost roughly $15 to post to the UK, and they didn't seem to mind.

OhanaMama,

I don't think that would be "cheating" at all and I think you may get even more "extra" attention of people wondering where you got yours!

Everyone is just so happy to see you and celebrate with you, it won't matter where your ears are from. You'll have such a great time!!

If you do "break down" and decide you want the official ears. I can assure you that the headband style withstood not only Splash Mountain but Rock-n-Roller coaster!
