For all yous wedding peoples--

How much do the Mickey bride/groom ears cost these days?

I'm toying with the idea of just buying them online if they are less expensive. I know I'll be buying some bride ears for myself (whatever the cost!!!), but I figure I have a better chance of getting the DF to wear them if they don't cost a fortune. :bitelip: Plus it will be harder for him to refuse if I go to the trouble to buy them ahead of time. hehehehe I'm so evil.

I know this seems ridiculous to be concerned about the cost of Mickey ears..especially when considering how much this wedding/honeymoon will cost....but I know how my DF's mind works. :rotfl:

When I bought them, they were only 16.95,I think...I bought mine in 07....I think they are still the same...not sure.

We'll that's not bad at all!!! Everywhere I've seen them online they're well over $20! I was thinking they'd be outrageous to buy at WDW. Who would have thought something is CHEAPER at Disney than in the rest of the world?? Now that's magical. :rotfl2:

Just get them when you get down in Disney...they sell them everywhere so you will find them.Don't worry!!!

:I thought I heard once that the top hat ears sell out sometimes -- is this inaccurate? :confused3

Oh now wouldn't that be convenient for DF. :rotfl:

Maybe I should just buy the groom ears online so he can't get out of it...

muhahahaha (that would be my evil laugh) :stir:

:rotfl: Telling him he can get VIP treatment didn't work?? :confused3 My DF can't wait to get those ears on!!:stir:

I would have to agree that your best bet would be to wait to buy them when you get to Disney. You might save a little bit of money if you buy them on ebay, but probably not much. Plus, the groom hat/ears were such a pain to pack! The fewer times you have to pack those things, the better!

I just bought my bride ears in June and they were $16.95. I don't know how much the groom hat is but I know they are more than the brides.

It didn't work!! Who is this guy I'm marrying?! Apparently he feels his "dignity" is more important than free stuff. Psh! Clearly his priorities are out of whack.

Oooh! Good point! :thumbsup2 A smashed hat would totally defeat the purpose of buying them ahead of time.

Bestla,

Don't feel bad, my DF doesn't want to wear them either but he said he will wear the pin. How nice of him...lol

MORE expensive?? It's like the entire Disney industry is purposefully making it more difficult for us to humiliate our new husbands.

This just isn't right. :rotfl:

When we went down in April, I was checking them out! They were EVERYWHERE! my DF doesn't want to where the top hat nor regular mickey ears with Groom embroidered. :confused3 he said maybe to the pin... but i'm going to make him a groom baseball cap with the mickey ears. i think Lurky might have done this, i know i saw someone explaining how to do it. i figure if i put the time and effort into making something for him, he will be more likely to feel bad not wearing it!! good luck!:wizard:

We bought a bride headband and regular mouse ears and made baseball caps so we could keep the sun off (and not get a headband headache!). The bride and grooom ball caps were like 10 bucks on eBay. We bought the ears at Disneyland - you can't buy them online unless you do eBay or the Laughing Place Store, which marks them up.
