Hi Everyone,
I'm not a bride, not even near becoming a bride really soon, but I have visited this board every now and then as I really love weddings! Anyways, I am helping to plan a bridal shower right now, and need some help brainstorming, so I hope you can help me.
We are having an activity which will see how well the bride knows the groom, so we have to have a list of questions to ask the groom prior to the shower for this game, like, what is his favorite color?, but I was looking for some creative ones too. Any ideas? Thanks! :cool1:

I was at a shower recently where we played a fun version of bingo. The Mother of the Bride went on the registry to see what had been purchased and put those items on the bingo cards. As the bride opened a gift, you marked off that item on your board. I've played other bridal shower bingos before, but I thought this was a really great way to keep the crowd engaged in the gift opening process. It got to be pretty entertaining too, because some of the items listed were specific, so when the bride said "towels, thank you!" people would shout out ... "wait, what kind of towels, are they bath towels, kitchen towels??"

wow i love that bingo idea!! I just had my shower a couple weeks ago and people were getting restless...which just makes the whole situation even more awkward, you know? I hate being the center of attention as well, so lol...I was way more out of my element then I'm used to - gift bingo sounds totally awesome!

I totally agree. I haven't had my shower yet, but already told my mom I want to do this! Keeps the gift opening interesting for everyone else!

At my shower my friends forgot to do the gift Bingo game :sad2: I didn't care but I thought everyone else would have liked it. Oh well.

As for the "know the groom" game we did something like that but involved all the guests and it was "who knows the bride best" game. My friend asked me a bunch of questions about a week before the shower and then all the guests had to fill in the answers to the questions. Whoever matched my answers most won. Not surprisingly my former roommate won :) They asked things like:
What is your dream car?
What is your favorite TV show?
Where did J propose?
Where were you born?
What is the first thing you do when you get home from work?
