I found a cute little beaded bag to go with my dress. I thought it would be handy to carry some small personal items with me...plus it's a cute accessorie. :) Have any of you done the same? If so, did you, or are you going to carry the bag down the aisle with you? Or did you have someone hold it for you? Or did you do something else? Thanks for your help. :goodvibes

i was wondering the same. But only cause the dress im looking at comes with a little matching purse and so do many i have looked at.

A friend of mine made my bridal purse for me. I didn't carry it down the aisle, I left it in the bride's vestibule at the WP, and then the rest of the day my aunt kept an eye on it. If I needed something, I just asked her for it.

I found a purse that matched my dress so well, I had to have it! I put make-up and an extra hanky in there, safety pins, eye drops, and extra batteries for my camera - the "just in case" stuff you hope you won't need ;) I gave the purse to my friend before walking down the "aisle." I didn't need the purse, I could have had my friend put all that extra stuff in her purse, but it looked so adorable I don't regret having it. It was also a good place to put the cards our guests gave us.

I was against having one, i only bought one two days before the wedding, i figured what the heck did i want to carry this thing around for! I left it in the bride's vestibule at the WP and then my mom ended up carrying it around for me the rest of the day... it's good to keep your "just incase" stuff in though!

Thanks for the advice! I think I'll have a family member hold my bag during the ceremony, and then after that I won't mind carrying it around during the reception. It's so cute, I think it's something I should be showing off. ;) princess:

i did the same. used it to keep contact solution and eye drops, lip stick, tissues, and safety pins for my dress...just in case.

i left mine in the limo on the ride over and took it on the ride to the reception. then they left it on the cake table as decoration (cause it matched my dress perfectly) and it was fine.

I didn't have a bridal purse; I never needed anything out of my purse. I had my SIL bring my regular one for just in case. My EM shuttled the purse around for me during the day, and after our reception, she sent it up to our room along with various other items. It really wasn't necessary - I could have just had my SIL put a few items into her own purse.

The only thing I needed that day was the 1 thing I didn't bring: a safety pin. My EM took care of that, and everything was okay. To me, the purse is just something extra you don't need to think about.
Cheers!

For my stepsister's wedding she had a little purse that her aunt held onto during the ceremony and then at the reception her aunt put it at the sweetheart table.

For mine, I will be using my mom's wedding bag - I am going to ask my aunt to hold it during the ceremony and I will wear it on my shoulder during the reception.
