Brian's Back.........

Oh my gosh....this is hilarious! Can't wait to hear what he says when you tell him. :rotfl2:
Wish I was actually young enough to be in the running to bid on Brian, he sounds like a good catch.

I'm staying tuned! :thumbsup2

Perhaps, I can come up with a few reasons why my BIL, 40, & also in RI, is better than a small appliance! :teeth:

But we could never, never let him know what I'd be up to! :rotfl2:

Oooh, wonder if Brian knows by now, it's past 7 pm!

I have a feeling that I am out of the bidding, since you have found some great women for Brian who actually live closer to him. It doesn't surprise me, as I stated earlier, I am a horrible pimp (maybe because I don't have a big, furry purple hat - all reputable pimps have a big purple hat). I have already accepted the fact and bought my own toaster oven (Linens and Things is having a great sale right now). I also have come to terms with the fact that I will never own any goats.

Shagley, I know you can e-bay for the purple hat. Who knows there might even be a goat or 2 listed. :rotfl:

Brian doesn't know yet. The All star game hasn't begun yet and there hasn't been sufficient time to get sauced enough to drop the bomb.

I can see it now:

Danen: Say, Brian, isn't it just terrible that Manny Ramirez isn't playing tonight?

Brian: Eh, the AL will win without him.

Danen: True. I know this sounds a little random, but how do you feel about pandering on a personal level? Wait, before you answer, let's do another round of tequila shots!

:rotfl:

The proverbial cat is out of the bag....Brian knows. It didn't go as well as I hoped, but better than I feared.

Brian came over and I tried to be cute and jovial as I explained the whole sordid affair, start to finish. Then, I left him alone in the den...just him and the Disboards. Found out something new about Brian....he's a fast reader. Before I knew it, he was back in the kitchen, looking midly amused. I tried to play up all of the positive comments, the wit and the whimsey. Brian politely smiled and laughed a little, but I thought he looked a little sad. (Maybe I was looking too hard). All of a sudden it occurred to me that Brian's singleness isn't a joke to Brian.
I tried to distract him with barbeque chicken and roasted potatoes, but a kind of funny silence hung in the air. Thankfully, he and Dane just started talking man stuff and we all let some time go by.
A couple of beers later, and on a full stomach, we all started talking about the boards again, and about the wonderful people we've (kinda) met. New information...Brian doesn't like beets. Brian has decided he won't be coming with us in September, I think he wants to let Dane and I have our alone time. He will, however, likely join us when we take our children to WDW in January.
Then, about 10 minutes ago, Dane asked Brian about staying in touch with the disboards. I suggested that he could leave an email address for any interested parties, and to my surprise and extreme satisfaction, without any hesitation, Brian gave me his email address. Then the guys jumped in the pool and I jumped on the boards.
In an effort to respect Brian's privacy, as if I haven't trampled all over that by now, I will provide this very sweet, loving, attractive man's email to those who ask. Then I will humbly back out of this experience, glad to have made new friends, hoping to have made something more for our dear friend Brian.

awwww. That's so cute!!! Oh Rox, I can just picture it. I'm sure he's glad that you went to all the trouble but on the flipside, well you know. Your heart was in the right place.

I bet he is at the Police station obtaining an Order of Protection as we speak :rotfl:

I do hope Brian realizes that this thread isn't a joke that is aimed at him. It may have started out at that, but it ended up as a good natured, 30 something singles thread that went awry (and I blame Rox for that, because I am not good at accepting blame).

It's been fun Rox. I have several bachelors that can be the next one to auction off. I'll arrange for the goat.

Oh and yes I'm still interested. :rolleyes1

Three cheers for Brian! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
Three cheers for Rox! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
I hope this opens up a whole new fun experience for Brian. Sounds like he'd like the DISboards & there's a whole crew of RED SOX fans here, too :sunny:

He sounds like a gem, & that's gonna make it that much harder for me to auction off, Keith, my sweet, artistic, outdoorsy BIL!

Do I hear 2 Lexmark black ink cartridges & a authentic German Pretzel?

Jean

this thread is great!

before we start bidding on the next Bachelor we need to maKe sure he is OK with Disney obsessed women!

If he is,. I'll give you two cartridges and a pretzel!

Hey, ImrovGal, how can we convince Brian to join us for the 2nd Annual Monorail Drink-A-Thon on Sept. 29th!! I don't think word has got out yet about our wild and crazy crowd. I'll bet he would have a blast!! We're going to end up at Pleasure Island again, I believe. No Grand Floridian though, too bboorriinnggg.........

Does your BIL like older women? If so, I throw in an old printer.

BIL usually dates younger women (22 to 35 yo)--he looks as if he's about 30! :teeth:
As for WDW, if he found out about the monorail-a-thon, he might be into it! :rotfl2:
He actually likes wildlife--real wild life!--kinda like the Jungle Boat Ride, but with an edge! Real snakes & beasties! :scared1:
As in South American jungly bits :smokin:

He's an avid kayaker & birder (he's illustrated a published birding book), hikes--so he'd be WDW ready! Is a diehard Red Sox fan, which of course, means he can weather, for extraordinarily long periods of time, extreme lows--it also means that he has a big, red, Boston 'B' tattooed to his arm!

Maybe we should be giving out the print cartridges & authentic German pretzels!

Jean

Any men out there want to bid on Joy? I have posted about her earlier in the thread. I'll even buy the pimp hat off of ebay if it helps me get a better offer for her :thumbsup2

Shagley, I might have the pimp hat up in the attic, I'll send it to you for one german pretzle. :joker:

I loved this!!!
Not in anyway could I get involved in this at all as I am 1) too old, 2) not going to be there then, 3) live in SC NOT RI and oh, yea, 4) married...

BUT...

I could auction off my DD, 22 yo, grad of USC ( go Trojans, NOT that type!!!), smart, fun, loves to travel, and - this is the clintcher- lives 25 min from DISNEYLAND !!! And has no one to go with... sigh....

No, she also doesn't know, we are on the phone as I type, and I joked about auctioning her off.... NOT amusing, MOM, oh God, no...

So if any one can find her 1) a very well paying job, 2) a date (she likes guys that ... WTH, how would I know? I'm her mom!!!), 3) a job that includs a lot of travel. BTW she has been to 4 of the 5 Disneylands, Hong Kong is the only one she hasn't made it to yet... but her BF is marring a guy that has family there... so she will be going over very, very soon... Now that would be a great date,- HK Disney, anyone?

Really not kidding so much with this, even if she does want to kill be over it....
and Shagley, I can MAKE you a PPH (purple pimt hat) if you can find DD a date that is not scuzzy. Do remember she lives in DT Los Angeles.. home of the weird....

This thread is tres amusing!

Since I was already planning on being in the World at that time, I was so looking forward to watching the auction from the sidelines.(Thinking of POC and the woman in red replaced by shiny Briney) Alas! No Brian! No purple hats, no toasters, and definitely no goats. Where is the fun in that? I'm so depressed I might have to cancel my trip. Wait! Party of the Senses Sept 29th....food and wine and cirque. Guess I'm still going. But gee, getting my hopes up like that ...... :rotfl2:

For those of you following this thread, you know that Brian won't be joining us for our Sept trip. But...yay...Brian did agree to come with us to WDW when we take the kids in January. I'm so excited! We really love him and love vacationing with him even though we didn't want a "threesome" ( ) in September. It all worked out in the end. So now, calling all lovely ladies who would like to meet up with Brian in January...
