If you like the breyers, you'll love the Klondike bars and the Endulge bars. They are 100% better than the breyers. Far more creamy than the breyers. YES! There are good ice cream alternatives for us!

As for net carbs, you take the total carbs in the product and subtract out the fiber and sugar alcohols for the net carbs. The fiber and the sugar alcohols have little to no affect on your sugar levels.

For years the "diet" ice creams were awful because they were ice milk, and were sweetened with other stuff. This tastes better because it's cream! THe splenda doesn't hurt, either, lol.

Really, try the klondike bars. They are out of this world.

I love the bryers low carb ice cream. My trick is to let it sit for about 3 minutes out in the bowl and then star eating it. Once it has a chance to melt a little it will get creamier.

I love the Breyers Ice Cream (espec the chocolate!) - and the Klondike "fudge" bars. The Klondike LC "traditional" chocolate coated vanilla ice cream bars tend to have all the chocolate coating flake off when eating - too messy for me!

I have also tried the Endulge Ice Cream bars and did not think they had as good of a flavor (and were not as creamy) as the Klondike ones.

I'm also ALL for the CarbCountdown Chocolate milk! 3 net carbs per 8 oz and Atkins approved!!!!! YUMMY!

It's so exciting when you find something you like and it's guilt-free!! I use Splenda in my coffee, and love it. :)

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there is something bad about it. Breyer's Carb Smart is sweetened with not only Splenda, but also high fructose corn syrup which is a big no no ingredient for Atkin's followers. It's a more highly concentrated sweetener that plain sugar and can cause sweet cravings to spiral out of control.

If you're not following Atkins, and just trying to eat lower carb, it would be a better choice that regular ice cream.

This is very true, Lisa. However, the key word in your statement is that it "CAN cause sweet cravings to spiral out of control."

For hubby and me, it does not cause any problems.
If you (Renee) have tried it, and it did not cause any cravings (and you are able to eat just 1 serving - size = 1/2 cup!) then you should be fine.

HFCS is bad stuff - and I wish they would make it without it! I don't think it has any affect on the flavor or consistency, but I'm not a real good cook...so my opinion there doesn't count for a hill of beans. LOL (I follow recipes just fine - but I don't get too fancy or creative off the written page!)

(Edited to fix spelling:rolleyes: )
