The Cast
Me: 28y/o Princess . Loves all things Disney...compulsive planner...scrapbooker (YES! much to BFs dismay everything IS a kodak moment!) Very excited about going again and I'm convinced that the only reason to work is so that I can pay for my travel habits...
BF: 33y/o Prince of 5.5 years...Started travelling to WDW 2004 as a total non-believer of any type of magic...2 weeks before our last trip didnt understand how any of this could be any fun b/c I had spent 1 year planning. Almost cancelled the trip...came home saying he would never travel anywhere other than WDW
Disney made a believer out of my non-believing BF in 7 days. (thank you Disney)
The Sell
So, we were planning on doing another 3 land /4 sea trip in Jan of 2007 and then free dining came along...How could we pass that up!?!?! Getting BF to ok this was a bit of a challenge. "But look at how much it will save us!" I'd fight with..."and it works better with our schedules..." "We didnt even get to see all of the parks when we were there for 3 days before..." Finally after enough begging and pleading he gave in...Barring any natural disasters or the world coming to an end, we can go to Disney. I have to add that BF and I are both in Emergency Medical Services and he is skeptical about planning things too far in advance...what if he needs to be at work??? (no worries they will get along fine with out him....I'm sure of it...) So, my work-a-holic BF ok'ed going.
The next call was to my TA who had be booked and ready to go. She has us booked leaving on Sept 25 and comping back Sept 30 at the Contemporary with free dining...Does it get much better than that?
OF COURSE IT DOES....
You have to understand BF just a little. BFs first time to Disney was when he was 4...a memorable trip I am sure. Actually his mother couldnt even tell me much for details and they have no polaroids of the event. So, our trip in 2004 had to come off with a hitch (and it did since he was ok with going back)
Lets just say I've "raised a Disney Snob." Our frist trip we stayed at the Poly-all research said it had the best coffee and it was on the monorail...doesnt get much better than that....right? Now, BF won't stay anywhere that doesnt have a monorail...Leaves me few choices for hotels...Thats ok...When I was a kid going thru the Contemporary AMAZED me...great...we've got ourselves a hotel.
I still had some work to do...How do you top a great time at the parks, a limo, cruise, swimming with dolphins and parasailing? I was torn for things to do this time around...even tho I knew there were so many things that we didnt get to do last time.
THE PLANNING
This portion is strickly up to me...BF gives no imput even tho it is asked for
Never fails...."Honey, where would you like to eat?" His reply is " I dont know...you pick you're good at that." AUGH! Just once....ONCE I'd love for him to say..."Honey, its all taken care of." But thats not my BF so at least I know things are squared away and there will be no issues....unless some unexpected thing happens.

...Packing lists are made and things are slowly accumulating in our family room...BF wont let me pack yet..."but we have 7 days" he says...um...do I need to point out that last time we went I was packed ...like ....weeks ahead of time? I sit here bubbling over with pixie dust...and when asked "are you excited?" BF replies with "uh huh"
I think he things Cirque Du Soliel is JUST a circus...I wish they allowed flash photos b/c the look on BFs face will be priceless..If he is looking forward to KTTK I wouldnt know...far be it from him to get excited about much.
Don't get me wrong I
hime with all my heart. Its been fun watching him brush up on his Disney trivia...its even more fun to know more than he does!
So, I wait. I dis. I anticipate. I clean pennies. I pack under his nose the things he will never miss. I order water to have it sent to the hotel. I purchase new toiletries (b/c I always seem to leave ours at home) I make excel sheets to figure out where we need to be and when...After all how do you figure out what time is the best time to get to ride up front with the driver on the monorail? 7 days...6 sleeps...
