Brewed Coffee at Resorts?

When I was at WDW in February I brought my little coffee maker because since we were staying at Pop we couldn't borrow a coffee maker for the room and the coffee in the food court was Nescafe. :faint: Even in the parks we were not able to find anything other than Nescafe.

My DH and I just returned from a trip to WDW and WL now serves brewed coffee in their fast serve restaurant and we saw brewed coffee at the pastry place at MGM.

I'm wondering if brewed coffee is easier to come by now at WDW, besides WL and the place in MGM, specifically at Pop Century and other food courts and also in the parks.

I really don't want to have to lug my coffee pot down there again, but need something other than Nescafe.

Thanks, T&B

I stayed at AKL in August and took my own coffee and requested a coffee pot.
Everywhere we ate I asked if it was brewed or Nescafe.
In World Showcase the sit down restaurants all had brewed coffee. The third day we were there Boma in AKL got new coffee pots and it was brewed, but all counter service still had Nescafe.
The cast members told me they take their own coffee in to work because of that!
They recommended we complain every chance we get. They said that is why Boma now serves brewed coffee.
If I were you I would either take my own pot or call POP and ask what they serve.
I did notice that at the counter service places the menu didn't list "coffee" it listed "Nescafe".
I have seen posted that Starbucks is served at Tubbi's in the Dolphin. I am going to go looking for it in Feb when I am at WDW.

Be aware that brewed coffee is probably made with the local tap water. Some people may not like the taste that it imparts to the coffee.

My wife prefered an in-room coffee pot, free upon request at most deluxe resort. Coffee can then be made with bottled water.

The coffee in the food courts at the resorts is Nescafe, which is instant right? How is it not "brewed coffee" when its in those big things that every fast food place uses as well as churches? I was wondering. My husband LOVES the coffee at WDW, when ever we look for it all we see is Nescafe instant, so is that what WDW uses? I'm not sure how he'll feel about that....suddenly it will become the worst coffee he ever had. :teeth:

We did this for our last trip, but the value resorts don't have coffee pots for a person to borrow, which is why I brought my ownin Feb. I was staying for a week so bringing one wasn't too much of a big deal, but it did take up a lot of room in the suitcase.

I don't mind the tap water for coffee, even though I don't normally drink it unless it's very cold.

Funny that on the counter service menus it was listed as Nescafe instead of coffee. Right there tells you something! ;)

The Nescafe is a concentrated syrup--instant, but not the powered that we think of when we think of instant.
