Where do two adults go who are children at heart?? DISNEY WORLD!!! Where do two adults go for an unbelievably romantic vacation?? DISNEY WORLD!! Where do two food lovers go to feast on more food than any human being should ever eat?? DISNEY WORLD!! Ok, Ok
Im sure there are lots of other great vacation destinations out there, but Im not interested in any of them. BAAHAHAHAHAA!!
This was us relaxing in a hammock in Disney World a gentle breeze no kids to attend to just me and my bestest friend in the whole wide world. Does it get any better or more romantic than this?!!
This is my trip report of our 10 year Anniversary getaway to Disney (September 11-18, 2010). I should have written this a long time ago, but when we got back home, we were immediately hit with all manner of life drama and havent had a chance to breath since then. Im FINALLY going to write this! Wild horses cant stop me (ok, maybe they could I'm slightly melodramatic
). Deep breaths
here I go
Here was my pre-trip report

The drive down to Orlando was insanely romantic, because my husband had been secretly making plans the month before. When I hopped in the car early that Saturday morning, he had covered the interior of the car with pictures of us and our family (and pets) that spanned the past 11 years of our dating and married lives together. Then he played old mixed tapes I had made when we were dating. We dont have a tape player anymore, so he bought all the songs on itunes and re-compiled the playlists. There were little love notes all over the place, and I was completely overwhelmed! It was a blissful beginning to a very blissful trip!
We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. After much research and poring over pictures, reviews, and descriptions of all the resorts, we chose Riverside. We were not disappointed!! I was so excited when we finally pulled into the resort. Months and months of planning totally paid off! We were wildly pleased.
This was the entrance
Here is the Riverside Mill which houses the giant food court
Looking at the Mill from across the river
This is part of the dock area (behind the main lobby)
Boatwrights Dining Hall
The river ferry that takes you to Downtown Disney
We stayed in the Magnolia mansions section in the Acadian House. It was so peaceful and the grounds were beautifully maintained!
This was the main pool complete with water slide, water fountains, etc it was always pretty busy in there
We stuck to one of the quiet pools next to our building. It was gorgeous!
I was quite happy with our room and had no complaints!
I would recommend Riverside in a heartbeat to anyone. It was a glorious experience from beginning to end. We never had a single complaint. The only slight hiccup was at check-in, but it was resolved super fast. We had requested to stay in Magnolia, but they had assigned us to Alligator Bayou. I don't have anything against that section, but my husband and I just really wanted to stay in one of the mansions for this trip. We asked if she could move us, and she had us moved immediately. No fuss! It was such a relief!
More to come soon!
