Breath Tests

While not the original story, there is one device being developed / tested.

I have to say... I walked into this article with 1 few dozens reasons it would not work or I would not use it. However, they seemed to have answered most of my objections.

It's cool. I would approve of it. My big question is that it may be a rather large expense for a technology that may not have another need for 20 years.

But then.... maybe it will be used. Hard to say.

Not a breath test but a rapid take-home test, results in minutes, 90-97% accuracy.
Just approved by the FDA
It's good news. But the bad news is they'll only supply 100K tests, which is a drop in a bucket
1 million by summer, which is still negligible. There needs to be 100 million of these rapid tests.
Hopefully some other company will step up with larger capabilities.
