Sorry it happened , glad you stood your ground.Happy MGR. tried to brighten your day with a few perks.I bet memo will go out to CM's on this matter. So you may have helped other mothers from being hassled.

I respect your right by law to breastfeed in public, it's the law. But don't pretend like there's no grounds for people to be squeamish about it. I'm squeamish about it, just like I'm squeamish about people who snap their bubble gum, chew with their mouths open, and fart in public. I try not to look, just walk past as quickly as I can, and I would defend your right to snap gum, chew with your mouth open, fart and breastfeed in public, because it's a slippery slope to outlawing things that I do that make other squeamish.

Be careful, not liking public breastfeeding makes you an ignorant caveman that hates kids apparently. Even when you say it's fine provided the mother isn't fully exposed.

Also folks if you would not quote post in your replies. Will make my job harder if appropriate post is removed then I have to go to each thread and edit post from your reply. TIA Danny Moderator TP&S Board

Being squeamish and uncomfortable? Sure. Being offensive and rude about it? Not acceptable.

None of those behaviors is necessary for another human being's survival. I'm not sure that I understand being squeamish about seeing an infant eating. Is it the idea of it? Honest question. Because you truly can see almost no breast at all. Do revealing tops on women also make you uncomfortable?

"Harrassment", no it wasn't, just an uninformed CM. Don't try to make some big deal out of it.

Farting in public is gross and rude, as is chewing with your mouth open. Breastfeeding in public is neither.

You're describing someone that is attempting to cover up. If there's nothing to see, I don't have any issues. The fact that a baby is eating isn't disgusting. What I DONT want to see your business hanging out fully exposed, something which I have seen multiple times in public against my will.

It really is. Babies in general kind of make me queasy, but that in specific, is partially being raised super conservatively, and partially just being very modest myself.

In your opinion. Mine differs, and as I'm doing nothing to interfere with anyone's ability to breastfeed in public, I'm allowed it.

I never got the whole aversion to breastfeeding thing. Walk though any beach or water park and the average bikini shows more cleavage than a breastfeeding mother without any cover, and that's not even considering how small the bottoms get. But no one complains about that.

At least breastfeeding is easy to explain to a kid. Micro bikinis, not so much. If you're so upset about the human body you should probably start there.

Ah. Some of that I get, as I was also raised conservatively and used to be much more modest (having children cured that!).

The issue is that breastfeeding is protected by law, covered or uncovered. It's no wonder breastfeeding rates in this country have declined when moms are being shamed into bottle feeding so strangers aren't being offended by breasts. It's such a shame. Ignore and move on, but we need to make sure emplyees/cast members whoever aren't telling moms they need to leave. Or taking away their legal right to feed their child in public.

Well I don't like the folks in three-sizes-too-small spandex, but I just avert my eyes.

Really, though, I've yet to meet a nursing mom who leaves themselves exposed for long. Usually we're like ninjas in how fast we can unlatch the baby and adjust the clothing. But that could be that I'm just not paying attention, in the same way I don't really pay attention the the guy eating that nasty-looking turkey leg. It's all just food to me.

It does not sound like the wife of the OP was fully exposed. I really do not see the issue.

I also don't understand the double standard comment. What double standard?
