I know, can you imagine getting this done at the Poly! The theming there would make for some excellent pictures.

So, if sunset is at 8:08PM, what time is best for taking pictures?

I'm wondering about this too. Does that mean that the sun is completely gone and it's dark at 8:08pm? Would 30 minutes before "sunset" be the best time to get great shots?

I got married at sunset in FL as well for the lighting/view I'd ask them when you're booking just to get their opinion as well, but I would shoot for around 7...very nice lighting as the sun goes down

Has anyone ever done this with a shared photopass? I would be interested if I could do it! Thanks!

we did! I just took my copy of the receipt for the prepaid cd to my shoot and paid the additional $25 very easy. They put all your pics on a photopass card by itself... just another card to enter #s for when you upload all of them at home. very easy!

I called Photopass for more info and to schdule a session for May and was told that the Poly PhotoPass should be up and running "very soon...a few more weeks". They just have to build the desk/kiosk area.

SWEET! We already did the GF photo session last October. I was debating whether to do it again this October since the back grounds would be the same, but now we just might have to try it at a different resort! And maybe by October they will add it at YC/BC too!

My parents are coming to Disney for part of our trip. Do you think we will have enough time to have pictures with and without them and for them to have pictures on their own or with DD. Or do you think we should book 2 back to back times. Thanks!

I don't think they have a limit of how many people. I've seen some done w/several people in the pics. The biggest thing is time. they only shoot typically for 20-25 minutes and that counts walking from site to site. they take quite a few quickly, we had well over a hundred just of the shoot and they took them where I asked as well. I really wanted the ones in the hammock. They took some of just ds and I alone, some dh and I alone and several of ds by himself...so I don't think they mind switching whoever is in the pics, but when time is up..you're done.

totally depends how many pics you want to be taken. I'd say you'd have enough time w/one slot, but for $25, I'd gladly pay for two just in case if I were very concerned. You do get a lot for your $

I agree to pay the extra $25 to get the extra time ... that way you won't feel rushed...

However, that said, if it involves children, I'd suggest trying to do all the shoots with the kids first (which requires a bit of coordination on which location to include the kids)...esp if you have young or very active kids.

My 26 month old was good for the first 15 or 20 minutes (smiles, laughter, looked at the camera) but when we tried to get the last set of pictures, this is what we ended up with ... still cute, but she was done and from there started running around and wouldn't sit still.

I wouldn't expect kids to be good for 40-50 minutes (or Husbands either -- you can see my DH smiling less and less, too)

Hopefully the Poly will open up for pics, the resort is so beautiful.

I have enjoyed all of the info on this thread and was seriously considering the GF shoot, but since we are staying at the Poly, that would be SUPER! Not going until August, so that should not be a problem. My girls are going to hate me. I'll tell them this is my souvenir.
