Breaking NEWS PHOTO SESSIONS!!!!!! :-)

If you go with just the print package, do you know if they will add any of the borders for your like they do at the Visa Meet & Greet in Epcot?

Thanks!

Hey LL - as far as what I know, I don't think they can. It's only when you get the CD package that they add the pictures to your Photopass and then you can add borders. Otherwise the CD and the prints are just the straight up pictures.

Hi all, I'm so excited, just booked our Photo Session at the GF. We're having breakfast there so it made perfect sense to scheduale ater that. Dec 12 th at 10:45. I got the same info as some of you. $99.95 for 20 minutes and 20% off from a coupon I recieved in my welcome packet. There are a variety of prints to choose from but you do all of that after you view the photo's. Thanks everyone for all the terrific information. I can't wait. Now...what to wear?:goodvibes

I'm really sad as I haven't received a 20%off voucher, I've had our tickets and nope! They must not send them to us in the UK:confused3

Did you book through Disney? If so you should have received a little welcome package, including a little brochure directed just to you, including info on when you're going and where your staying. On the last page there's a little blurb about the photo session which tells about the 20% off. At least, that's where I got mine!

Does any one know?

The actual pics you get with the packages, when do you get these? do you sit down after the shoot and decide which ones you want and then they print them then and there, or do they send them to you in the post?

Thanks:thumbsup2

You pick them out after the shoot and they print them right there. We did the $99 one and received our CD, a photopass card with all the pictures and the prints that we picked out.

Nope, they don't add borders but will give you the pictures on the photopass so you can do it yourself (at least with the $99 package, we got them on photopass as well).

I have a reservation at Kona for 10:30. We want to book a photo session either before or after breakfast. If before, what time should we book the session for so that we can make it to Kona on time? We just want the 20 min. session. Or, would it be better to wait a little later, after breakfast? How much time should we allow for Kona? When would be the better time to go? Thanks in advance! Dena

I would do the session before you eat (just in case something spills on your clothes). When we did ours, they said it would be about 20 or 30 minutes while they upload the pictures before we could view them. So I would suggest doing the session, eating and then going back to view them and pick out the ones you want. The photopass location is right across the lobby from Kona - very easy :)

I just got my welcome booklet but it didn't have 20% off voucher... It had other vouchers (like Planet Hollywood and stuff), but not the one I wanted. Too bad ><

Actually, I didn't book through Disney but throuth TA, and it seems like the booklet I just got is not the same as the ones pps were talking about, so never mind :p I was talking about the booklet you get about 30 days before your departure date, and it didn't have any discount coupon.

I am assuming this is a separate Photopass card to the ones you can use in the parks. But what is the point of the card if you have the images on the CD already? Is that so you can add the pics to your PP account if you are ordering PhotoPass (the regular park one) anyway? :confused3

Is it a physical voucher or a code? J&C@Disney would have booked through Disney UK. It is very likely that they are not sending out the same promotions / benefits with booking as the US are being offered. I wonder if I should just take a pot shot and ask them, since I also booked through Disney, albeit the Disney UK office.

I just called to inquire about the latest session available in October and was able to book my session!!!!

I didn't inquire about how far in advance you can now book but the girl said they just changed it and can now make reservations "that far out" talking about October (I am now 79 days away :cool1: )

Just thought I would pass it along. I called 407-824-1700

Cost - $99.95 includes photo CD and a small print package # of photos depends on what sizes you pick.

Thank you so much for the heads up. We leave October 2nd and I thought I was too early to book. What was the latest time you could get for the Poly? I am hoping just prior to sunset - not a big deal if it isn't possible - but it would help if I had the slightest clue what time the sun goes down in October .... :rotfl:

Looks like 7:10PM on 2 Oct. It gets a few minutes earlier each day after that. The link I used is below. I hope this helps! :)

Did you book room only or a package? I have always booked a package in the past at a value and never got the bookelt before. I have now booked 2 nights for a deluxe, room onlyn and the rest at a value, package. I got the booklet all about the deluxe and the discount, but nothing about the package again. so I don't know if it's because I booked a deluxe or room only this time around.

Thank you so much for taking the trouble to post the link. That is perfect :thumbsup2 I will probably aim to book around 30 minutes earlier though - don't want all our pics in semi darkness if they are running late. :rotfl:

They might not be shooting that late. I think I read that the last appointment in Dec is like 4...maybe 5. so I know they don't go too late then. Of course sunset is probably earlier then as well.

Thanks. I'm going in October so hoping they will be doing it a little later, but if not it's no sweat. I would rather have the shoot than none at all, even if it isn't my first choice of time we have a 'free' day to play with so it won't be to our detriment. Thank you for your help.

We booked through Disney UK, so I guess they don't send them through the UK, I think i'm going to be a bit cheeky and ask at the desk when we arrive, the only thing they can do is say no!

I had a similar plan in mind :rotfl: It has occurred to me that perhaps these discounts are being offered to guests actually staying at one of the Deluxe resorts that host the photo sessions, which I am not.

Oohh!! Maybe, that is a good theory as we are staying in CBR. I bet you have guessed it. :)

I see you are leaving in 5 days :dance3: I was going to offer to ask and then post the response for you when I get back, but since you will beat me to it, maybe you could let us know if you remember on your return. :goodvibes

Nope, I'm staying at a moderate and the offer was in the back of my welcome booklet. Actually ended up with 2 because I changed dates of reservation and got a second booklet.

Hi there, I'm staying at the Contemporary. I booked online, with the deluxe dining plan and celebrating our anniversary and dh's birthday. I recieved a little book welcoming us and telling us all the things we could do and places to eat. On the last page of the booklet was a discount coupon for 20% off a Photo Session. Good through Dec 31st I believe.:goodvibes

For those of you who have received the 20% off coupon, do you have to have it when you book or do you just present it at the time of the session. I have already booked our session, but we haven't received our welcome packet yet.
