Breaking NEWS PHOTO SESSIONS!!!!!! :-)

I have pre-purchased the photo pass CD but there is no mention of getting the photo session for $70. Do I need a code or certificate or is it just an automatic thing that they do?:confused3

This is my question as well. I pre-ordered the CD last week and am booking our photo shoot on Monday, I think that's the 30-day mark. How do we get this discount? Anyone?

When you call to book it, just tell the CM that you preordered the photopass CD. They will tell you to bring proof with you and you'll get the discounted price. I just brought the email with me.

I booked our session this morning. I spoke with Tom at the Poly and he was helpful. I mentioned that we had preordered the Photopass CD and he said, "Great, you'll get a discount then." It's nice to talk to someone who has a clue, I've called before and talked to people who were less than helpful.

We booked a 10am extended session since there are 10 ppl in our party. I'm hoping the angle of the sun won't be an issue.

"GetGlowing" I think that you and I spoke to the same person-- I don't remember what his name was it was about 3:30pm today he was very helpful and I told him that I didn't order my photopass yet but was going tomorrow and he said "bring in proof of payment and it will be $70" great ...I hope he will be there that day so I can make sure that I get it.

So, are PhotoPass pictures from the parks on the Disney's PhotoPass Portrait Session PhotoCD? And is there a separate fee for just the sitting? (is that the discount of $70 that was being referred to?)
I've just read a TON and I'm so confused!!

I'm wondering how these verbal affirmations of the discount will work now that PhotoPass has been changed. None of my confirmation documents mention the discount. Guess we'll see. We've budgeted for it at full price just in case.

Anyone do this at WL and have photos to share?
Just booked this today for our upcoming trip. Thought I would do something nice with the kids for some holiday pictures. Now to figure out what to wear. Was thinking of the girls wearing their holiday dresses, but now thinking that may be a bit much? Should I go for something more casual?

Does anyone have any new info on the photo sessions? New prices? How long is the sitting? Where is the best place to do them if you want to see the Castle in the background? I'm a professional photographer so I will be able to get plenty of my kids but I would love to have some great family shots.

We did an "hour-long" shoot at Polynesian last week with Tom as our photographer. I recommend him!

We had a 10am appointment. We started with photos inside the resort lobby, then moved to the beach with the castle in the background, to a pier overlooking the Grand Floridian, had a brief stop at a giant tiki head, and finally to a spot near the Luau location. We had 10 people in our group so we booked an "hour," which is supposed to be 45 minutes of shooting and about 15 minutes of review/ordering. We had about 115 photos shot in that amount of time. There was a bit of walking between locations. My dad has mobility issues so it was slow going between some of the sites; as a result, we were out with the photog a little over an hour.

We did preorder the Photopass CD for $99 (before the new preorder stipulations and restrictions), and I had the confirmation # on email in my cell, which was good enough for a photo session discount. Our total was $101.18; I don't have the receipt at hand so I'm not sure how the prices break down for the first session, the second session, and the discount.

That price included a photo package (we chose 7 5x7 prints) and a CD of all the photos. They were also able to add those photos to our parks Photopass account.

Our attire is by Lands' End. Almost everything we chose was on sale, plus we used a free shipping offer (btw, didn't know this, but you can go into a Sears store and place your Lands' End order with them and get free shipping always - great saving tip!). The nice thing about Lands' End is color consistency across styles, so we could get different tops for the ladies and the colors matched exactly.

I called this morning to make reservations at the Poly for December and was told the discount if you ordered the Photopass CD ended 2 days ago. :confused3 We booked the $99 package anyway! :) I spoke with a Richard at the Poly.

Oh yikes, sorry about the photos. I'll repost them somewhere else and edit. Try clicking the full link under the broken image boxes until then.
