Can Bobby and the rest of Engineer Company B Marines be far behind????

...but what in the world am I going to do without my daily fix of Fred?????

Now, I'll have to rely on the Marine Corp and Bobby - pretty scarey thought!

Thats great news for Mrs. Dodd and Fred....hope his trip home is uneventful....and certainly hope you folks get to meet in person. Bad part like you said we all are going to miss his daily reports as its the first place I go to in the am. Would be wonderful if the next bit of breaking news is the South Bend Marines are coming right behind him....PLEASE keep us updated.

I am sorry to hear that Fred will no longer be there to keep up with the South Bend Marines, but I'm so glad he is going to be able to share in his wife's pregnancy. I will surely miss reading his reports.

I'm taking this as a good sign. I thought he said once he would be there as long as they are. They must be coming home soon!

I, too, will miss his daily updates.

When you get a chance to meet him in person, and I know you will, please give him a big hug from all the cyber-aunts!

I hope this means Bobby and his group will not be far behind! As has been mentioned already, be sure to give Fred a big thanks for all of us here.

Hey that gives me an idea... maybe we could start a thread with whoever wanted to, commenting something to Fred about his column and what it has meant to us. Or just signing names and locations. I'll bet he had no idea when he started, that his words would reach out and encourage people all across the country.
