Wonderful news! I must say, winters or no, I'm having a hard time not wanting to return to the northeast, my first home.

Now hopefully I can marry my guy in my own state of Connecticut, and not just label it a civil union. Connecticut has joined the ranks of California and Massachusetts in legalizing gay marriage.

If I could only get married at DisneyWorld Florida, but I can honeymoon there !

I guess I could get married at DisneyLand California and my state of Connecticut would recognize it. Now if we can only get the US government to recognize gay marriages and civil unions.

I think the Southern states will be the last to recognize same sex marriage. The Bible Belt has powerful conservative religious voting blocks. I really think we'll see a federal law granting the right before all the states do, Florida may be an exception in a few years, but Texas, Alabama, Mississippi...no way.

We were at the rally yesterday and it was AWESOME! the front pic of the NY Times online was my gf for a while!!! she is still one of the main AP shots (I am there too) and so she is all over the internet!

my gf has become the face of lesbian america for a few days - she and i are front and center in the main AP shot, so i got to be in almost every paper in the country! she is also the other main AP shot, so she has been everywhere - we found her in the NY Times, chicago tribune, la times, everywhere! it was awesome!
