I think she's recovered from the DL performance, but she still has a long way to go with the whole recovery process from the infection. We stayed home from band tonight, I was worried about getting her out, having a possible 2 hour commute and her staying up late at night.

She's still on the morphine and quite loopy. I hope that she stops with teh pain and can get off the morphine before we go to Vegas.

I'm glad she is probably over the DL performance. It's tough when you are very ill to recover from even normal activity. I am glad you went.

I wonder how Vegas will go with all the moving around, but at least there is plenty of time to heal before then.

Interesting turn of events at work. Got asked in the work kitchen if I wanted to come back next year. My money head was on having just being online shopping and said yes. So she says right I'll get that confirmed and arranged.

Then tonight we find out one of the team isn't having contract extension even though as a minimum we need him while I'm on leave I mean his last day is the day I fly.....

The tough part is always there's been new hires since him (me included) who are staying. Always adds an ouch factor.

It's brutal out there...

I've volunteered in the schools in the past. I like to see what goes on in DS's classroom.

I didn't shovel too much. I'm mostly trying to form snow banks along the edge of the driveway. I can tell where the edge is using a shovel but not with the snow blower. This way I can use the walls of snow as a guide when I snow blow it with the tractor. And when the driveway is plowed and not the dirt and grass off the edge of the driveway, nobody drops wheels off and gets stuck.

But it is warm, so the snow is really heavy. I wish the sun would of poked through and warms the drive way a bit so it could melt off.

I like to see what goes on in DS's classroom too. Over here, we can volunteer with reading helper duties and the like until Grade 3. After that, they want to break the kids themselves.

You are expected to have a LOT of skills and/or experience. You might get training once you're in the door in another software program...but you don't get in the door WITHOUT having strong skills in at least one program.

How you do get experience without getting hired is the biggest game we play

Yes, Turdsday is normally my day off. Sadly, when I was benching and completely bored, I agreed to go to a seminar....it's tomorrow!!
