just got home. Big storm about. I parked the car in the street and ran in. Soaked!

It's stormy here too. I can hear snow sloughing off the roof. I hope I can get out of the driveway in the morning without plowing first. But it is looking doubtful.

Good night ! Its suppose to rain here tomorrow. I believe its time to sleep. I hope all is quiet tonight.

good night all.

We dropped over 20 F in less than 30 minutes. Temperatures were in the 90's before the storm. When the rain hit, it was low 70's.

Now, its just humid.

We're getting the weird weather too. Had that drop in temp the other day but now they say it will hit the 90s tomorrow :sad2:
Not happy....

My ski gloves arrived this week :woohoo:
They are actually the newer model (so not as 'pretty' but better in function) than the ones I saw in the store here....but including shipping cost AUD$81 from a UK store online.
As opposed to "on sale" for AUD$180 in the shop near where I work.

It astounds me how the shops function here. It's all so expensive. As is the lift tickets...they are the actually the most expensive in the world or maybe 2nd. For absolutely awful slushy or icy "snow"

Anyhow....WEEKEND!!!

I need to get my gloves on and get some of the snow off the driveway. There is about 6"/15cm from last night. The snow looks heavy, and I don't look forward to shoveling heavy snow.

How much are the lift tickets in AUD?

I have never shoveled snow.

I'm also spoiled having a restaurant like Napa Rose close by. They have aged wines.

You aren't missing much.

You do live in a giant city, you should have everything except solitude.

I don't live in a giant city. Just near one. :teeth:

Although we supposedly have the third largest Pride festival in the country.

Sorry I missed doing the shoveling, I like the snow. Living in solitude can be very nice at times. It has drawbacks as well. You dont want to live so far for the grocery store. I can do without a mall. You learn to stock up during winter months.

Star-turday morning! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

About $100 per day.

Hope the shovelling got done!

I dont think 100 is worse than anything here for the price of skiing. I dont ski. Tried once that was it. How is your saturday. We should shop for the Aussies over here on black friday. Great way for you guys to get some deals. At least mailing it to you would be cheaper than you flying over here.

Yes! :thumbsup2

Saturday? It is just about to hit 8 am. I need to go start the cleaning, grab a shower and have breakfast.

Driveway is done, although it's still snowing, but at least since it's Friday I can wait until tomorrow to do it again.

About $100 per day.

A few US ski areas are around $100, but like Disney tickets decrease the per day cost if you get a multiday lift ticket. And you have to pay a permium for park hopping as there are several ski areas next to one and another.

The good thing is in the US there are hundreds of ski areas. Lots have to compete with each other, especially when near cities and major airports. So the prices go from $25 to $110(maybe didn't follow who was the mos this year), and AP from $99 to, ha ha Disney is so cheap, $1,500.

WoW! Sounds like a great start to the snow season! We finally have chilly weather again after a brief cold snap earlier this month.

I'm actually hoping for a chill in December for a our visit so it feels a bit more like Christmas!
