Breaking in new shoes for DL

Every day we are thinking of our upcoming trip. Both DH and I got new tennis shoes for DL. I grew up in a family that always "saved" new shoes and such for "special occasions". We weren't allowed to touch them until the first day of the trip, etc. Well, thanks to your advice, DH and I took our first walk with the new shoes to get them broken in. Boy did it feel good to break mom's rules. And I know our feet will be happy once we get there. We'll also be bringing alternate shoes to change it up a bit when there.

I appreciate all the advice you all have shared. It seems like the little things (such as new shoes) are building the anticipation!!

Your feet will thank you for sure!!! I have broken in new shoes at DL and it's not been too bad but I'd much rather break them in before hand.
