Breaking Fox News - A POW IS RESCUED!

Turn on Fox News, they are reporting that the upcoming CENTCOM briefing will say that one of our POW's has been rescued! Let's hope they are right!

I heard that Intelligence got word of where she was it a couple of days ago and special forces set up a plan to get her out. It is reported that she is sound of mind and body, providing information about her odeal. She is heading south and will go to Germany before home. Way to go special forces!!

Cool. I hope that we can find the other POWs. The stories I seen do not mention the remainder of the POWs yet. I think that she was the only female in custody and so she was being held away from the others.

My one concern, I hate to bring it up but is anyone else at all fearful at what might happen to the other POW's because of this? I hope I am just being paranoid.

But then I reasoned that at least at this stage, those POW's are worth a lot more to Saddam if they are alive and treated reasonably well, rather than dead!

Unfortunately, she is not the only female from the mechanic group that took a wrong turn. Shawna Johnson whose parents were so eloquent is also part of this group and I believe there is also a Native American woman. They weren't really a combat unit so that's probably why the high number of women soldiers involved. Hopefully, they too will be rescued soon.

Yes, I had heard of at least one other woman POW. This does give some hope though, God Bless them all. Great job! I pray more are rescued . . .

I just heard on CNN that she suffered multiple gunshot wounds but they do not appear to be life threatening. I can't imagine what her family was going through. God Bless Jessica and the brave troops that rescued her!!!

Thank God Jessica was rescued and will be all right. That is wonderful news....

but now they are saying that some bodies were found. The notification process is being undertaken and until then we won't know who the others were. My heart goes out to the families of the other POW's. I know they are sitting with bated breath, hoping and praying, because as long as there is no notification, there is still hope their loved one is still alive. Official notification kills that hope. God bless them all.

What exciting news for the Lynch family!!
There are two other female captives being held POW- Someone already mentioned Shoshanna Johnson. The other female captive is Pfc Lori Pestawa of Tuba City, AZ. She is Hopi. She is also only 19 years old. I hope this rescue of one of the captives will give the other families something to cling to

Today's press briefing had actual footage of the rescue. She was awake on the stretcher. They are respecting her privacy and not giving out details of her condition.

The bad news is that 11 bodies were also found near the building where she was being held.
