Breaking even dining plan? What to cancel?

We are going to Disney the week of Nov 9th (2 adults, one 5 year old, 1 year old).

We have the following reservations--CRT dinner ($190 total- figure about $37.50 per adult dining TS credit), Crystal Palace dinner, Boma dinner, Tusker house lunch and chef Mickey breakfast.

I was considering buying a 5 day dining plan (we missed getting free dining) and it looks like we will just break even if we use it...does that seem right? Guessing our snacks will average ~$4.We wont really use the refillable cup since we aren't soda drinkers.

If we buy the dining plan.. would you pay for CRT out of pocket... and book another 6th dining reservation... OR use two table service credits to book CRT and cancel either crystal palace vs. chef mickeys? I am leaning towards canceling CM due to poor breakfast reviews...and because I would really like to keep Tusker House and the characters are similar.

How did you calculate your figures for CRT? It's about $80 per adult for dinner, not $37.50-odd! Or did you calculate it as 2 x $37.50 as it's 2 TS credits?

If you're going to eat at cheap(ish) buffets such as the breakfast ones, it's barely worth buying the dining plan to do that. It only really pays for itself it you eat at restaurants with proper 'by item' menus (eg $29.99 steak and $8.49 dessert). Our breakfasts at CP were only about $22 each (Boma was $43 for 2 and I do know they were similarly priced). Unfortunately it's very difficult to be more precise because I don't have a full set of receipts (ie ones that show the actual cost of the meal so we knew how much to tip, and also the ones they give you if you're on the plan which show everything as $0.00).

Personally, I would trade in CRT for Aukerhaus and save that $190.

We loved Tusker House breakfast. We booked more of a brunch..10:30 I think, and we're able to sample some of the lunch offerings in addition to our breakfast
