Breakfasts on meal plan

For some reason I never really put any thought into using the meal plan for breakfasts. I was thinking TS for dinners or shows and CS for mainly lunches and then the snacks as we needed them or as we found places in Epcot that would allow you to try desserts for a credit.

We just fiugred we would get milk and keep it in the frig and eat cereal and fruit.

How do you use your credits for breakfasts. :confused3 Where is a good place to do this. We will be near the BC or BW.

We used a TS credit when we had breakast at Crystal Palace while we were there in June.

In Sept we used some TS credits for breakfast at CRT and Crystal Palace. The other days we mostly ate cereal and oatmeal in the room. But shared a lot of CS credits for lunch (used 2 CS for 3 people) so toward the end of our trip we realized that we had extra CS credits that would end up lost if we didn't use them for breakfasts. But you don't get as much value from using a CS for breakfast as you would for lunch or dinner.

:flower:

We are going to use one of ours for Donald's Breakfast. That day we will use a CS for dinner, probably at AKL/Mara or Pepper Market. We are only doing one character breakfast, but we are doing chef mickey's for dinner, and crystal palace for lunch. You can switch them around, but trying to figure it all out just about caused me a panic attack!!!! LOL

We are a family of 4 (2 children). We ate most breakfasts in our resort food court (POR). We shared platters for breakfast and used cs. This also gave us a dessert and extra drink (because we also had refillable mugs) for later in the day. We usually shared cs for lunch also. Worked out great for us-- was still much more food than we could eat!

What do you mean "it gave you an extra dessert and drink" for later in the day? Do you mean if you don't order everything that is included you can get it later?l

No, I mean that we picked up a piece of fruit, a muffin, a Mickey rice Krispie or whatever and a bottled drink when we checked out. Then, we had the items in our room or backpack for later in the day.

We used some of our CS credits at the CR food court during free dining in September. At that time - they let you get a rice krispie treat or a muffin or cookie for dessert and a bottle of oj/milk for a drink. We did this the first few days, and saved the drinks and treats for later (we had refillable mugs).

I've heard that they have changed the wording, and you no longer can get dessert with a counter service breakfast (which makes no sense, since most CS breakfasts are LESS expensive than the CS lunches!)

We're planning to bring granola bars and pop tarts. That's what we eat for breakfast most days anyway. With our refillable mugs, it'll make a nice start.

We're going to pay separately for our breakfasts. The only time I'd use a dining plan credit for breakfast would be for a TS restaurant (like a character breakfast), and I probably wouldn't do that since I don't see it as a good value for what we're paying for. It's much more ideal to me to pay $6 for a breakfast platter and use a CS credit for a $10 meal. Plus many of the restaurants are not allowing desserts for breakfast anymore, so using a CS or TS credit for lunch or dinner is a much better deal IMHO.

We also plan on using our cs/ts for lunch and dinners and just having cereal, pastries, ect.. for a small breakfast.

We did a character breakfast at the Crystal Palace at MK. I thought the food was really outstanding, and I would frankly consider breakfast there even without kids! This is if you are really "into" breakfast food, which I am. (Omlets, pancakes, fresh fruit, a zillion other things). It was very tasty and a nice atmosphere, even with a ton of kids!

Is there anywhere where a snack credit could be used for a breakfast like item?

I heard the Beach Club has great bread pudding and that sounded yummy for a breakfast.

I agree w/betsy-we used dining plan for character breakst @ ohana otherwise we paid for brkfst @ kona or had muffins etc @ the kona counter. Dining plan best used for dinner. :cool1:

This is true. We just got back from POR and they have changed the flyers. We still ate CS quite a bit for breakfast because eating a CS for lunch and then a TS for dinner was way too much food too close together. I am talking about Thanksgiving Day full!
