Hi there, I was wondering what you guys thought of Breakfastosauras (is it sit down, buffet, CS) and if it's any good. Me and my sis are going in a couple weeks and we've never eaten breakfast in WDW. Ideally, we'd like to go to CRT but at this late in the game I'm assuming it's out of the question (I hear it's extremely popular). If not Breakfastosauras, is there any other breakfast in the theme parks that anyone would reccomend? and if so, do I need to make a priority seating for it?
:wizard: :pug:

It's a buffet if I remember correctly. It is pretty good, but is a little crowded since it is the only place to go at the AK. We like the Crystal Palace at MK. I think it is the best character breakfast going. It has Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, and Piglet. If your looking for Mickey, this isn't your place.

If you wanting to be at AK early, the Breakfastosauras is a good option.

It is definitely a buffet. It has quite a few options including a hot buffet area and then fruit, donuts, pastries, ect.

The characters are normally mickey, minnie (sometimes), pluto, donald, and i think chip&dale (not sure). It is the only character meal with donald so if you are looking for him it is a great place.

My DS (12) loves it as it is dino themed. If you get a real early seating then you will be at the roped off area and past the lines at the front. Though that might not be an issue this time of year :confused3

Since this is a quieter time of year you might be able to get CRT especially if it is just the 2 of you. I'd give it a try. Always wanted to go there but my DS would not be thrilled

My favorite character buffet breakfast so far is the Crystal Palace at MK brandont wrote about. Great food and gorgeous setting. Though it is pooh characters no mickey.

we love donald's! it is one of our favorites. you would definitely need ADRs for the breakfast. we are 2, sometimes 4, adults that go to this breakfast. excellent buffet and made to order omelettes. :earboy2:

Been to Crystal Palace in MK on a couple of ocassions and never been disappointed - great food and characters.

Have booked to go to Breakfastosauras this December our first time so hope it will be as good - We have a 8.00 ADR so at least we'll be in the park for when it opens!!

We ate there two weeks ago, and it was really good. It was our second time there in two years, and we'll probably go again. The food was hot and fresh, and it was really good. Our server was ok, not the best, but she was training. The characters all stopped by for pictures with each ds and an autograph, then they were on their way. It worked out well for us this time, we had an early ADR and we saw all the characters in the first 10 minutes, then we had time to eat without having to stop and take pics, etc. It wasn't crowded at all when we were there, lots of empty tables.

Hope this helps!

I love this Buffet! Try to get a seating before the park opens. You'll get to go in before the crowds and see the Tree of Life before it's surrounded by the masses.

I didn't realize Minnie Mouse was every at Donald's. Has anyone else ever seen her there. We are going to Donald's for my son who is a huge fan. My daughter loves Minnie but there really isn't a meal with Minnie that looks good. :Pinkbounc

We've been to this buffet 3 times and the food is really good. It is very big though. One waiter said it has the most seating for any character meal. Because of that it may take a little longer for the characters to get to your table, but once there they do spend plenty of time. I have seen Donald, Mickey, Goofy and Pluto, but never Minnie.

An alternative to Breakfastosaurus, if you're not opposed to counter service, would be breakfast at Tusker House. They've got one of the best cs breakfasts around. I usually get the platter (love their home fries!), but if you like sweet stuff/pastries for breakfast, their cinnamon rolls look incredible.

Here's the menu:

How would you go about getting a seating before the park opens? I never thought about breakfast reservations. How would you get in to go the there?

Hopefully I'll be able to make a reservation for that today if I get the info. I do think I will feel silly saying Breakfastasouras to the operator. lol

Thanks in advance for any info.

Also recommend the Cape May Cafe Breakfast (at the Beach Club). It's a buffet with characters, Beach-outfitted Goofy, MINNIE, Chip and Dale. The characters spents lots of time interacting with my DDs--even came to the table a second time, which surprised and pleased them very much.

We ate there last year and it was very nice (busy but that was in July). They have a nice buffet and the characters come to each table. We even invested in the photo they take before you go in. I would certainly recommend making reservations. Have a Great Time! ::MinnieMo

Find out when the park opens for the day you want to go and there are usually seatings about half an hour to an hour before the park opens. When you get to the closed gate at AK, there are usually cast members standing there waiting for people who have those seatings. They'll take a group of you to the restaurant. It's like your private mini-tour! :rotfl:

We liked it because the restaurant is located deep in the park so by the time you finish breakfast, the park will just be opening and the crowds will be at the front of the park. You can finish the dinosaurs before the crowds get too big. Unfortunately, it's a long walk to the safari though. :sad2:

We had a great table...the characters came often. I've got great photos of all of them with us. The first time we went, a few years back, Mickey signed a Donaldsaurus newspaper that we had been given. Donald came by and saw Mickey's autograph, shook his head and autographed it over Mickey's. :rotfl2: We loved it! The duck rules!

We were there last week and loved it.The food was good and the characters were wonderful. We saw Goofy,Pluto,Mickey and Donald.

You cam make reservations before the park even opens? Thats awesome...Just out of curiousity, is that just for guests staying inside Disney? I'll be at Pop Century, so if thats the case, I can do it regardless. Thanks for all the info so far everyone! I'm enjoying reading it all.

We ate there for the 1st time this past August and really enjoyed it the food was excellent as was our server and I also thought that the characters were great. We got lucky and ended up in a room off to the side. There was a big group (12) then 3 smaller tables. It was really nice because at one time we had Goofy and Mickey there and they posed for some pics!!!

The characters you will definatly see are: Donald, Goofy, Mickey!! and Pluto.

We had ADR's for 1000am and right after that we went to ride Dinosaur and walked onto the ride and then saw Tarzan Rocks! Good luck with it and I hope you have a great time!

Question? Where do you go when you arrive at the AK gates if you have an early reservation?
Smiles,
Diane =0)

We ate at both Donald's and Crystal Palace on our trip the first week in Sept. Crystal Palace is waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy better! Much more variety of food (we loved the puffed french toast and breakfast lasagna). They also have made to order pancakes and omelets, which Donald's doesn't. It's a gorgeous atomosphere, with white, gold, & glass and you will have a castle view if you sit by the window (which we did). Donald's is just in a counter service restaurant that they've made into table service for breakfast. Very dark. No made to order anything. No special items. Blah.
