Breakfastosauras??

I'm thinking about ADR's for breakfastosaurus at Animal Kingdom for our group of 9. I was wondering if anyone knows how this will work since some of us are staying on disney property and some are staying off-site. I've seen people talking about having to take a bus in because the parking lots are not open. How will this work for us?? We are hoping to get an 8:00 reservation. Any help would be great. Thanks

Question? Where do you go when you arrive at the AK gates if you have an early reservation?

Just in front gates of AK. You'll see some cast members there with a clipboard. You'll usually see a nice little crowd gathering there too. They'll ask if you have a priority seating ummm...I guess reservation now... for a certain time.

I have ADR's at 8:20, but that is a morning for EMH, am i making a mistake to make a ADR on a EMH day??

I keep thinking while i am eating the line for TTBAB and primel whrile (SP) will be getting bigger and bigger, what do you think.

On EMH days we eat a pop tart in the room and make an ADR for around 10:30 at a breakfast buffet.

Is 10:30 to late, I see that breakfast is from 8:00 to 10:30, so is 10:30 to late, i mean by the food been sitting there to long.

thanks

We did this as a late breakfast on Saturday (Early Entry for AK). It was the worst of all the chatacter meals we did but it was still pretty good. I guess the food was a little less interesting (and the sausage was not very good). Also the dining room we were in reminded me too much of a late 1950s kitchen. Server was great as was our chef (kid needed allergy free foods). We really had a wait for the characters and the characters had to move fast once they got to our room since the restaurant goes back to counter-service at 1130AM.

So if you need a character breakfast in AK go for it. Otherwise I think the Crystal Palace and 1900 Park Faire are both the same price and somewhat better for food and characters. AK really needs a nice sit down restaurant (but to justify that they would need to be open in the evening for dinners).

I think i am going to cancel this ADR and just play it by ear.

thanks

My DS and I have eaten at the Poly character breakfast twice and had a wonderful time. The food has been great, it's served family style and refills on any item are no problem. Mickey, Goofy, Chip & Dale are there and they have a nice little parade with all the kids. DS loves it. It was an easy one of for us because we were staying at Poly.

Not sure what to do next year. I would prefer to avoid buffet breakfast since we will get that often on the cruise.

We ate at Donalds next week and the food was nice. I found character interarction poor but that may have been because it was just me and my DH. Goofy, Pluto, Donald and Mickey were there. Goofy completely ignored our table and was out the room before I had a chance to say anything. I had to ask pluto for a photo while he was waiting for Goofy to move away from another table, then Donald came up for a photo. Mickey also had his photo taken with me but that was the only interaction we got. They were definetely spending longer with tables with children but I still felt they were moving round the room fast.

The food is replenished at all of the breakfast buffets. It will be hot and fresh. We like to do a late seating. When we are done with our late breakfast everyone else is headed for lunch!

I'm glad to see a few positive comments on this place. I have ADR's in two weeks for 8:05 and was getting worried.

I did want to drive my car so we would have it but from what I hear, they won't let you in to the parking lot until 9, so I'll be taking the bus.

So how far is the safari from Donald's. Really want to do this first thing when the park opens.

If you get in by 8:05, you will likely be done before 9 and can hoof it over to the Safari- it's probably a 10-15 min walk- just ahead of the crowds. The only hiccup would be if you have young kids that want to wait until every character comes to your table.

The cool thing is you'll see lots of characters milling around waiting for the opening. We had a private audience w/ Pooh and the gang when we finished our breakfast right before the park opened.

HTH!

Is this a new thing that you can't park your car there before 9? That seems odd since not everybody with an ADR that early is staying on Disney property. We've always been able to park the car when we've had an early seating...before the park opens.

I'd call and check on that if you haven't already done so.

The Safari is on the other side of the park but it shouldn't take you too long to get there. I'd still finish the Dinosaur area first and then walk over to the Safari. But...I guess that depends on if you're going during a peak time or not...or what the various guide books tell you to do. LOL...I believe most of them say to do the Safari first thing in the morning...?

I can't believe that they won't let you park the car there at 8AM. We did early entry to AK last Saturday and drove to AK and were parked in the lot by 750AM. AK does have a weird parking lot, the cast parking is closer to the park than the guest parking (which is arranged at a 90 degree angle to the park which means you can get there early and still have your car far, far from the entrance).

Also I would not necessarily worry about hitting the Safari first. It is where all the crowds go (but it is a fast loading high capacity attraction and few people ride twice in a row), so why not do Dinoland then the Safari? Everything at Dinoland will be close to a walk-on. I'd even be tempted to do the Asia jungle tour, kali River Rapids, and the bird show before heading up to the Safari.
