Maybe this is a ridiculous question, but if you're on the basic DDP and want to use the CS credits for lunch and TS for dinner, what can you do for breakfast? Where can I use the snack credits to get something for breakfast?

You can use snack credits or share meals at Breakfast & Lunch. There is so much food & our family has never gone hungry doing this. :)

Cereal and milk is a snack credit, as is oatmeal and the awesome cinnamon rolls at the Main Street bakery. Things like fruit and muffins are also a snack credit.

A cinnamon roll at MK is a snack credit - and delicious!!!

Most of the resort food courts or counter service locations have small items like yogurt, fruit, etc... that you are able to use your snack credits on. :thumbsup2

Don't forget that your QS and TS meals both come with dessert. Oftentimes you can get a muffin, fruit or other pastry as your dessert "to go" and just save those for breakfast. By the end of the week we are tossing them out or downright refusing them at our meals (which does not go over well - they actually prefer that you take dessert and throw it in the nearest bin than ask to not take it at all. :confused3 Crazy!)

We always bring Fig Newtons and PopTarts and seriously, there's so much food on the regular DP we hardly need them.

We have DVC so just eat in the room. I'd probably bring poptarts, bagels or something in the other resorts. Muffins maybe. We're a three meals a day family so the regular DDP isn't enough for us, we have to supplement it.

We always pack poptarts and bagels with single serving cream cheeses in our luggage. Its is perfect to get us through the morning till lunch. Our Disney Mugs gets us our coffee in the morning and we just eat breakfast on our way to the parks. We also take extra fruit at the buffets for a snack later or the next morning.... I know a big NO NO.... Don't tell anyone! ;)

We normally do one large TS for breakfast like Kona, Boma or Cape May and then switch between paying OOP and using snack credits. Depending on what you reservations are (say, an early lunch), we will just use a snack credit and get something light for breakfast.

If you have a later lunch, you can pay OOP for something like a waffle. IMO, it's better to let your CS credit go a long way and use it for a lunch something that's between $20-25 vs using it for breakfast and only spending about $10 including your coffee/juice

Cereal and milk is a snack credit

This is no longer correct. WDW announced that as of 2012, cereal and milk counts as a CS meal, with an additional beverage.

We always share 2 of the Adult Breakfast Platters or an Adult Breakfast Platter & a huge waffle. We look for the most expensive & largest breakfast option.

These are offered at your resort. If we start paying for meals we find we end up with some left at the end of our trip. We always use our dining credits first. We made this mistake one year. We left 3 credits that year. It was disappointing & a waste of money for us.

We too share breakfast and lunch. Cosmic rays has a chicken and rib platter that is so big, it easily feeds two. The same for Flamimgtree BBQ. We just pay oop for an extra drink and we are set.
