Can anyone share what their experience was like here? How is the food? About how long did it take to eat? What characters were there?

If you ate early, what was it like being in the park first...anything special?

Thanks!:thumbsup2

I have eaten here twice, both for a late breakfast around 10:30am. We saw Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Mickey and Minnie (I think only 4 each time, but between the 2 times those are the ones we saw). I really enjoyed the food. There was scrambled eggs, fritata, quiches, breakfast potatoes, mickey waffles, bacon, sausage, pastries, muffins, and there were some different items that you would find at Boma like bobotie (sp?) and some type of corn beef hash. It was good and I would recommend it.

DW & I had an 8am ADR there. We were led by CMs from the front gate to the restaurant. The food was excellent & the character interaction was very organized. We saw each character twice. We were finished before 9:00 & I was able to ride Expedition Everest twice before the queue got long. Overall, a great experience.

Not meaning to hijack the thread but how does one get to an early breakfast, if you go before the park opens? I would love to go but I would have no way of knowing how to get there from Poly since it would, most likely, be before WDW transportation starts running.
Thanks

I believe, however please correct me if I am wrong, that buses start picking up people to get to the parks 1 hour early before park opening just for early ADRs. So since you are staying at the Poly, you can just bus over to AK.

We are very excited about trying this character breakfast for the first time. My girls one character that they want to meet this time around is Daisy....plus I hear that they do a parade with the characters that should be fun.

Yes you are correct...they have a "Character Breakfast" bus that starts running early enough to get you to the earliest ADR. You may have to speak to your consierge to verify timing etc. but it is available...we did it for CRT in August...got the bus at 6:30 or something like that. Once you get to the park there will be an entrance for people with early ADRs and you just give them your name and confirmation number and they send you on your way.

It is totally amazing to be in the park when it is so quiet like that!!!

Also...to the OP...I highly recommend the Tuskerhouse breakfast...we did it in Aug and it on our list of "MUST DO'S" for this time!

It was great! We took our time eating and when the park opened, we were able to ride EE 4 times in a row with NO wait. We could have rode it another time, but we were satisfied. These are 2 small pics from the breakfast!

We just returned last week and this character meal was our favorite. Not only is the food very good, but the characters were well spaced, there was not a lot of "down" time in between characters. We saw Goofy, then Daisy, then Donald and Mickey was last. It was about an hour total but it went by so fast.

And yes, there was a parade, led by Goofy, around the restaurant.

Great food and lots of character interaction. I felt like the characters came around about 2-3 times. We had 10:05 ADR and waited 10 minutes. The food was fresh and delicious!

Would you recommend an early ADR before park opening or something towards the end? We are staying at AKL and am not sure whether to do this on our day in the park or just pop over on our resort day.

We really enjoyed TH breakfast last year. We had ADRs for 9:00, right at park opening, and we were able to get in about 8:45. I really liked having the park practically to ourselves as we walked to TH. The Photopass photographers were already out and we got some nice pictures in front of the Tree with no one else in the shot. The characters were great, the food was great. I'd definitely do it again. The only thing I'd do differently would be to make my ADR earlier. We had to wait a bit past our ADR time.

I really wanted to do TH again on our next trip, but we'll be there during the time when they add the holiday "upcharge" and we won't be on the DDP, so it would cost our family of 4 an extra $12, and my sister's family an extra $16 for the meal. I didn't think it was worth it.
