Is there a sit-down or counter breakfast that is not a character meal with the dining plan? How about the food courts at the All-Stars? If so, what would be included in a counter-service ticket? Has anyone tried this??

At the POR food court in April the dining plan got us an omelet with sausage and potatoes, cinnamon roll from the bakery (dessert), and a milk OR we got french toast with sausage, a banana (dessert), and an OJ. The cashiers were very helpful in letting us know what we could do with the dining plan. It was more than we could eat!

The Concourse at the Contemporary
Trails End at Fort Wilderness
The Grand Floridian Cafe
Olivia's at Old Key West
Kona Cafe at Polynesian
Boatwrights at POR
and Whispering Canyon at wilderness lodge

All Serve table service breakfast sans characters.

There used to be a place for breakfast at Fort Wilderness (Trails End Buffeteria, I believe). I haven't been in several years, but I'm sure it's still there. As for using the dining plan with it, I'm not sure. They didn't have the dining plan last time I ate there. It was very good though. It was right next to the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review.

Also, Boma in the AKL, they have a buffet breakfast and no Characters

I found the breakfast menus at the Allstar Resorts to be rather good. We would normally use 1 counter service to get an Adult Breakfast Platter, Chocolate Croissant, and OJ or some bottled beverage for later. (we got the refillable mugs so we could use those and save the bottled drinks for the trip to the parks, etc) And 2 of us would split that meal.

You can check the breakfast menus of the resorts at www.allearsnet.com under the dining link. They have everything from breakfast pizza, omlets, pancakes, french toast, breakfast croissants, biscuit 'n gravy, and much more. With the counter service, you would get your choice of one of those "entrees" and then pick a side item (pastry, cereal, fruit cup), and then you get a drink (fountain drink, juice, milk, etc).

Hope that helps

On June 6th we ate at the Concourse Steakhouse for Breakfast with dining plan. It was nice lots of food. Ya can even get an appitizer which for me was a yogurt fruit bowl. I had eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns and waffles too. Plus glass of milk.
