We bring a refrigerated cooler on our trips and load it with yogurt, fruit, cheese, a quart of milk and a sandwich meat or two (Me, DH and DS7, DS3). We also have rolls and various snacks for the three bottomless stomachs in our room!
To save the $$$, we have yogurt, fruit or danishes in the room in the morning. This tides us over and if we're in the mood for breakfast foods, we end up going to the latest breakfast we can snag at one of the parks. What usually ends happening is that we do an 11:30 lunch, well before the crowds. The added benefit is that a cold breakfast takes no time to prepare, so you're out and enjoying the park that much quicker!
On one trip, one of my sons insisted on the canned ravioli when we popped through Super Wal Mart, so we got it and heated it in the food court. I made sure to get a microwave one, because I didn't have a can opener and was unsure if they had them available at the food court. However, I do not travel without a corkscrew! (it actually stays in the toiletries bag!)
