I've just been reading through old posts and noticed people have mentioned having specific time slots for breakfast?
We stayed at the NY in 2009 and just went down whenever we were ready.
Can you request a certain time? My husband is diabetic so really can't be dictated to about when to eat if that makes sense.

Thanks guys!

I've been wondering about this too. We've never been given time slots at Disneyland Hotel before, but we're staying in HNY in December and I'm not sure what to expect.

at the Cheyenne you can go when you like to breakfast, you will be given breakfast slots, but if they don't suit you you can go at another time. Between 7am and 7.30am is by far the most pleasant and quietest experience for breakfast, at the Cheyenne you have to find your own table too, and it gets very busy after 7.45ish.

you can also, subject to availability, if staying at the Santa Fe, Cheyenne, Sequoia Lodge, or Newport Bay Club hotels, ask at your hotel for breakfast in the park instead of at your hotel. The breakfast slots for breakfast in the park don't start until after 8am, and go on until around 9.45am. You do get timeslots for this, and you should try to abide by them, as some of the restaurants used for breakfast in the park are smaller than the hotel restaurants.

We stayed at the Sequoia Lodge and were able to request 8am each day. We were given cards for each day we were staying with the day of the week and the time requested on it. One morning we had a long lie so missed our 8am slot. I asked at reception if it was too late to go for breakfast and was advised that no we could still go, we handed over our 8am card with no problems. :)

What restaurants can you eat breakfast in the parks??

Which would you prefer...breakfast in the park or hotel??

you don't get to choose the restaurant, its one designated restaurant per day, your hotel receptionist will tell you which on it is when you book for it. Its usually one of either the Plaza Gardens, Chalet au Marionette, or Pizzeria Bella Notte.

I much prefer breakfast in the park, as I can get up and go for the quietest hour of EMH from 8am to 9am, then have breakfast at an hour when I'm actually awake and hungry at 9ish (rather than at 7.30 at the hotel when I'm still half asleep). Then I'm all set for ropedrop in the main park, or heading to the Studios before 10am :goodvibes. If you're staying at the Santa Fe or Cheyenne, the breakfast in the park is an upgrade on breakfast at your hotel, better choices, individual yoghurts, fresh fruit salad etc.

We're going to DLP in October and have made reservations for the Sequoia Lodge. Do you request a breakfast time before you arrive or after? Same question for requesting breakfast in the park. Do you do this before or after you arrive?

I consider myself fairly knowledgable about WDW and DLR, but DLP is all new to me.

Thanks!

Its all done when you check in, whilst they may not have the times you request you can still go when you like. In regards to breakfast in the parks its if they have availability which isn't always the case
