Also you might consider having your own groceries in the room and eating a nice leisurely breakfast on your balcony (or next to the sliding glass doors). Or room service--kinda nice to stay in your jammies and have someone else do the cooking and cleaning up!

only had room service before on cruises (and only because it was included in the price lol); that would be a treat!

think we're going to take the GoSedan in from SNA, will have to look into whether the driver would make a short pit stop for few groceries

Millies is great! My dad loves loves loves the pancakes, so much that he looks forward to them, and I always get the side of fruit which is about 3 or four dollars and you get a banana, two pieces of each watermelon, cantelope, and honeydew. It is really good/fresh! They also give free refils on orange juice!

True. I'd rather the extra money go to Disneyland though, instead of feeling like I'm being ripped off by an Ihop or Denny's.

Lotta people here on the boards suggest ordering your groceries online from Vons or Albertsons. We did it when we stayed at GCH, it worked out great. We ordered a rack of water, plus milk, juice, yogurt, fruit, cereal cups-to-go, and snacky things (plus paper towels, and plastic spoons for the cereal and yogurt). You can have them deliver to the hotel, within a 1-1/2 hour window, and the bell desk will hold it for you if you're not there yet. It's a great money-saver, especially for the water, which is like $3.00 a bottle in the parks and hotels!

Somebody said they even googled a discount code to get free delivery. I think it's 9.95 usually, or free for over $50.

If you google "Disneyland menus" you find sights that show menus that include the breakfast menu at Rainforest. It's not cheap but it is AWESOME (and I don't particularly care for the dinner food there). I love Whitewater snacks in GC for breakfast (and any other meal for that matter). It's not as cheap as it used to be a few years back, but I think it's still a good value compared to other Disney options. But the best way to save is to eat in the room as someone suggested. We will have a car so we will pick up a box of cereal and some milk & OJ. Some grocery stores will deliver from what I've read.

i didn't know they'd hold it, will check out possibility of having it delivered before we plan on arriving . think SR used to have a link to Vons too?

I think it's mainly simple the difference between CA and FL...

i honestly can't compare since i'm just going with what i'm finding as to initial prepaid costs...always have heard the cost of living is so much higher, particularly housing market (im a relator ) although its much pricer in MCO than it is in PIT

If you mean ressies for Whitewater, it's counter service (actually not even really that). You walk in, get what you want and then pay as you exit. At least that's the way it was in 2002.

no, i meant Rainforest, which the google did bring up some reviews that gave it high marks for breakfast, saying entrees were huge & in $10-$15 range...we could easily skip lunch

i saw the menu for whitewater, sounds very much like the set up @ Wilderness Lodge Roaring Forks

I forgot to mention that Rainforest Cafe has awesome, and huge, breakfasts! We've eaten there a few times and we always have to share, it's so much food!

I ate breakfast at Rainforest Cafe during my last visit and had the Tonga Toast. Absolute yummy-ness and highly recommended!
