My son is a notorius breakfast skipper. I keep a variety of cereal and breads in the house as well as instant breakfast drinks but to no avail - I'm almost to the point where I'll let him eat a frozen dinner for breakfast just to know he's had something - any suggestions?

heck - if he'll eat a frozen dinner - why not? it's still food? you don't have to have "Breakfast food" at breakfast.

how old is he?
Here are a few of my favorite breakfasts (quick too)
peanut butter sandwhich (GREAT - filled with protein and keeps me going all morning) even PBJ
small tortilla smeared with PB, with cereal (cheerios/honey nut cheerios) sprinkled on, then rolled up
yogurt
cereal bars (the nutragrain type)
milk and cereal bars (yeah, full of sugar, but filling - I like the honey nut cheerios one, DH likes the Cocoa Puff one! heheh)

My oldest DD is the same way. Heck, I was thrilled this morning when she had a handful of grapes  . I'm not really a breakfast person and sometimes have to force myself to eat a piece of toast, so I believe her when she says she isn't hungry, but I still insist that she eat something. Good luck to you.

I'd let him eat whateve he wants (healthy stuff) for breakfast! Who cares if it's traditional breakfast food. :) I'm not a big breakfast person myself, I'd rather wait a little bit and eat a super early lunch (and then I eat a second lunch later), than have sweet breakfast foods first thing in the morning.

My DD always says she is not hungry and doesn't want anything. I know they eat lunch early in Kindergarten (around 10:50) but I still thinks she needs a good start in the morning. Her eating ANYTHING at all would be a good start in my book.

I never ate breakfast when I was growing up, I just waited until lunch and then didn't stop eating until bedtime. Maybe your son is just not hungry in the morning. I know some schools start serving lunch at 10:00 AM.

If he's hungry, he'll eat.

My DS (17) never eats regular breakfast food. He would rather have leftovers in the morning. He eats spaghetti, lasagna, chicken and rice, etc. It's fine with me.

HE LOVED PIZZA......so the doctor said why not....good nutrious as long as it didnt' have pepperoni and junk.......we would let the kids make pancakes the night before and they would refrigerate them so they could eat those in the morning....with anything at all on it.......strawberries was their favorite........try to let them have the say in their start of the day food

Maybe he'll drink that Carnation Instant Breakfast. I used to buy that for my kids when they were much younger. It came in all diff. flavors and has all the vitamins you need. It may be worth a try...
