Breakfast rope drop strategy

We are staying at Ft Wilderness cabins 11/27-12/1. We have a car and a golf cart. We have never stayed at the Fort before. Typically we get up and eat quick serve breakfast and hit the parks for rope drop. This time I'm considering a different strategy. Our plan is to avoid early extra hours except HS which opens at 7am on our day there. Every other day our park opens at 9am.

We will be rope dropping MK, AK and HS. Is it more efficient to arrive at rope drop 1.5 hours in advance and grab breakfast during the wait for the rope drop? If so, what would be open at MK, AK and HS to grab breakfast?

There’s Starbucks and Joffreys, but Starbucks has huge lines usually and not sure if Joffreys carts would be open quite that early. We usually just bring some granola bars or mini muffins or something to eat while waiting.

We usually just bring breakfast items to our room and eat before we head to the parks.
Granola bars, fruit, poptarts, rolls are all easy in the moning.

Just to be clear, the only options I'm interested in involve quick serve breakfast at the resort or breakfast in the parks prior to rope drop.

In that case, I would do QS breakfast at your resort.
At MK, other than Starbucks, which is often crowded, not sure there are any other QS options on Main Street for Breakfast.
AK - some of the carts might be open before the parks, but no QS restaurants in the areas you can be in before park opening.
HS - same.
After RD, you could do a QS, but that would negate doing RD.
Another option would be to do rides for an hour, then do breakfast at a QS, but by then its 10am (close to lunch), unless you are ones that do breakfast and dinner and skip lunch.

I think the FW quick service opens around 7:30, so not sure if you’d have time to grab anything from there. As was previously said, only non-ADR/quick serve options before park open are Starbucks and Joffreys.

As PP noted, the Ft. W quick service location lists its opening at 7:30 am. On your MK day, you could certainly get there right at opening, eat quickly and then jump on the boat to MK for the 9 am RD. Contempo Cafe at CR opens at 7:00 am, so you could take the resort boat there, eat and then walk over to MK. Starbucks in MK will be open prior to RD, but it will most likely be mobbed. You could also try to get an ADR at BOG which serves a QS breakfast in the morning, but you need a reservation.

In AK, as others have mentioned, there is only a Joffrey's cart at the entrance, so, not really a full QS meal option. Again, if you really want QS, you could boat over to CR early, eat there and then bus to AK (or drive your car, I suppose, though traffic may be quite bad that weekend). If you would consider TS at all, there is a Rainforest Cafe just outside AK. Their pricing is on par with QS, IMHO. If you aren't on the dining plan, you may want to consider getting a Landry's Card for this - it's $25, but that $25 goes toward your bill and the card gets you priority seating whenever you show up. There are no QS locations outside of AK to get breakfast prior to RD. You could also drive to AKL and eat at the Mara QS there and then drive to AKL.

In DHS, again, there are no QS locations outside of the park, so nothing available there prior to RD. If you are planning on being there at 7 am, I would consider simply eating QS inside the park at some point after you have entered.

We have an 8:15 QS breakfast booked at BOG. it is 45 minutes before the park opens. But, there is the event where you pay an extra amount to eat breakfast and get Fantasy Land Open for an hour. I think the price is $75 a person. Someone told me, the amount of people does not impact the park at all. I sure hope they are positive about that.

We have done BOG PPO breakfasts twice and never has the amount of people for early morning magic impacted our time in Fantasyland after we've eaten breakfast, we have been able to ride 7DMT with less than a 5 min wait. I've actually contemplated doing EMM but it's more money for our family than what breakfast costs at BOG.

The amount of guests the buy tickets for EMM is very limited and really it's got no effect on rope dropping. By the time the park opens, most of the EMM guests are eating their breakfast.
