My family wants to do one super nice breakfast while down at Disney. Looking for a place with a great view and/or great food. What places do you guys just love/want to go to? As a first timer, I'm unsure of where to go, but I want a place to knock them off their feet. Thanks in advance to everyone.

if you have young kids in your party then you may want to try a character breakfast. the one at GF always looks like fun. my favorite is GF Cafe. i always have a great meal there and the atmosphere is great. :coffee:

My family loves the CP, it is winnie the pooh & friends. The food is very good, it is a buffet. I also think the CP is a pretty restaurant.

Our favourite breakfast was the buffet at Boma... and you can visit the animals while at the lodge, what a view!! Especially the baby giraffe.

The best breakfast places on disney do not have much of a view.

They are Kona Cafe at Poly (try the calabash breakfast)
Spoodles at the Boardwalk
Fresh at the Dolphin

If you're looking for great food, Boma might be your best choice. Plus, as Wazzo said, you can check out the animals and the fantastic Animal Kingdom Lodge lobby while you're there.

Another idea...it's not super-nice, and the food is pretty much typical breakfast buffet fare, but for the wow factor, Chef Mickey's would be a good choice. It's a character breakfast with Mickey and friends, and it just screams Disney. Plus, for a view, not much beats watching the monorails running through the Contemporary. :)

Kona Cafe has great breakfast food, but there's not much in the way of theming, and there's no view.

Edited to add: Welcome to the DIS Boards!! :welcome:

Although the atmosphere isn't going to knock anybody anywhere, my favorite breakfast is currently at Boatwrights restaurant at Riverside.

For atmosphere AND food, I'd go to Boma.

If your staying somewhere, that has room service breakfast is a great choice. :thumbsup2 It is one of the more economical meals & and the kids love room service. Its a very special treat. ;)

I chose this character breakfast for the sole reason that my boys love Mary Poppins. I am not much of a breakfast person, but the food was exceptional.

i guess if you want a splash go to Boma, the food is good and the setting while "no view" to speak of is nice........ just don't epect"exotic food" as it is pretty normal breakfast fare( which disappointed me but some might not be up to adventure at breakfast)

however( big however).....
our hands down breakfast favorites are

WCC( fun & good food, relatively inexpensive)

and Trail's End imo the best bargain in wdw, not as fancy as Boma but it's supposed to be rustic. plus it is so much more relaxed than most wdw places which i need by day 4 or so.. we have never had crabby servers( in the 20+ yrs we have been going) it has good food and plenty to choose from just not as fancy as some of the other places ie maybe 8 choices of pastry instead of 10 choices and served in a normal buffet type line. we usually take the boat from MK on the morning we go to MK so it is very convenient. we go off season and never have to wait either which is nice if you are going to a park that day. if you don't go on your big breakfast day, try it another time if you can. it's about $10 per adult so you'd spend close to that at a coffee shop place in wdw.

Best food: Kona cafe - Tonga toast, Raspberry smoothie

Lots of fun: Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club Resort
The food is good (mickey shaped waffles) and the resort is
pretty; you walk out and see the Boardwalk across the way,
you can walk to Epcot to work off the breakfast.

It's a tough choice, good luck!

Not to hijack this thread but somebody tell me about Boma's and the animlas you can see there. I wasn't even thinking of this place until I read this thread. Thanks OP.

Concourse Steakhouse in CR has a great breakfast. It's right next to Chef Mickey's and I've never seen it crowded. My son loves the big waffle, my husband the stuffed french toast and I go for the Eggs Benedict.

We loved Ohanas--we were seated by the window with a view of the castle (and the lagoon and the volcano pool.)

I loved Crystal Palace, the food was great, and CP is a beautiful restaurant, plus Pooh is there!

The breakfast lasagna there is to die for.

You can't see animals from Boma except for the two legged kind - the windows look out over the pool area - but after you eat you can walk around the resort and check out the savannahs.
