Hello,
We are arriving to disney on a saturday morning. I would like to start out the trip with a nice breakfast but not in a park. Suggestions? Thank you

Many people I know recommend Ohana at the Polynesian. It's a character breakfast (not buffet, but served family style) with Lilo & Stitch and Mickey and Pluto. We skipped because my son dislikes Lilo & Stitch.

There is also the iconic Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary. I'm told typical buffet food, but it's for the characters. There are other character options at different resorts.

And if you don't want a character meal, you can most likely have a very good meal at Wave at the Contemporary.

Are you staying on property?

For non-character, I say Kona Cafe at The Poly or BOMA at Animal Kingdom Lodge...

Yes, are you staying onsite? That might make a difference on where you choose your breakfast.

If you are staying on site location should be a major contributing factor. However, if you are looking for the Mickey Friends you should go to Chef Mickey's at CR or Cape May Cafe at BC. If characters don't matter and you don't have to be at a resort...Wolfgang Pucks Cafe at DTD has wonderful French Toast that is to die for. Also, this will be much cheaper than a resort breakfast.

Food for thought!

My favorite character breakfast out of the parks is Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club.

My favorite non-character breakfast out of the parks is the Wave at the Contemporary. Kouzzina at the Boardwalk also has a decent breakfast.

If you are wanting breakfast before you arrive at WDW, we sometimes enjoy heading over to Crackel Barrel in Kissimmee. Good food for a great price. We don't have them where we are from, so it is a treat.

Captain's Grille at the YC is also good. They have a buffet for $18.99 or you can order off an ala carte menu.

Table Service: Kona at the Poly. Pineapple Macadamia Nut Pancakes, the Samoan (eggs benedict), the Big Kahuna (great for a big appetite or for sharing) and Pressed Pot Kona Coffee.

Buffet: Boma at AKL. All the traditional breakfast foods and additional dishes with African overtones. Also Frunch juice. Walking around outside to see the animals and talk with the CMs is a lot of fun.

Neither of the above are character meals.

we are staying on site, at the beach club. I was thinking kona or ohanas but I forgot about bomas or any of the restaurants on the boardwalk. decisions!!
