Just booked my solo trip at HoJo for end of Oct :cool1: I notced that 1 day DL opens at 9am the other 2 I'm there it opens at 8am. I'm an early riser so would like to get bfast before I enter the parks (more time for rides :thumbsup2). So...any suggestions for where to go?? I'm assuming I'll either be heading to a DL hotel or DTD. At least 1 morning I'd like to have a sit-down meal (any serve Bloody Mary's???). Just not sure about whether they'd be open at 7 or so for the 8am opening?

Thanks! :goodvibes

I don't think anything in DTD serves early breakfast.

But there are plenty of fast food (McDonald's, etc.) & coffee shop options (IHOP, Denny's) along Harbor Blvd.

On one morning, I'd suggest you take the time to eat in the Park. River Belle Terrace, outside Pirates and overlooking the Rivers of America, has some good, decently-priced options (pancakes, scrambled eggs, etc.) I just ate there yesterday, in fact. :)

What about MiMi's Cafe right across the street? I'm not positive, but I think they serve alcohol.

In DTD there's La Brea Bakery for breakfast. At the DLH, I understand that Steakhouse 55 serves an awesome breakfast, and I bet you could get a bloody mary there.

La Brea Bakery doesn't open until 8:00AM (which is why I said I didn't think anyplace in DTD serves early breakfast).

Plus, it's overpriced for what you get. ;)

I supppose I could eat bfast one morning in the park :lmao: Steakhouse 55 does look good. Not sure what time they open though. I guess I can scout it out. What about the creole restaurant in DTD? Any good for bfast?

Mimi's Cafe right across the street is just what you want - opens at 7am and does serve Bloody Mary's.

Steakhouse 55 (in the Disneyland Hotel) opens at 7am and serves a great breakfast. We loved the bananas foster pancakes! They serve a bloody mary, too.

Definitely Mimi's - our experience there was fantastic. Well priced, great choices on the menu, PLENTY of GOOD food served and the Mimosas were great! I know you said Bloody Mary, but since you have 3 mornings, you could try a Mimosa one time!:goodvibes

Thanks everyone!! Sounds like a mimosa is in my future too :thumbsup2 I'll have to try Steakhouse 55, Mimi's, and someplace in the parks...sounds like a great plan!! Thank you!!

Mimi's, it's so good!! RFC is good too but I've never done breakfast there. Avoid the IHOP like the plague, it's waaaaaayyyyyy overpriced, Denny's is good but I don't know if they serve alcohol early in the morning. Millie's has good breakfasts too but I don't know the liquor situation there either. Enjoy! :)

Steakhouse 55 is supposed to be good for breakfast, but it's all the way across the esplanade, all the way through DTD, in Disneyland hotel-- not inside the parks. So you might want to save that for maybe a late breakfast/brunch one morning, after you've been in the parks for awhile?

When we stayed at HoJo, we just had juice, cereal, milk, muffins in the room-- stuff like that. Ate it when we were getting ready, and we could take stuff with us to eat while we waited in line.

Do you have Magic Morning with your ticket at all? If so, if it's on one of the 8 a.m openings, you'll be able to get in the park at 7 a.m. Even earlier!

Sometimes a great way to go is to have something in the hotel room to tide you over-- coffee, a muffin, fruit-- then hit all your early morning stuff and have a great late breakfast/brunch inside the park. Then it sort of doubles for lunch!

We didn't eat at Mimi's while we were there, but I've consistently heard great things about it.

I didn't realize how far the walk is from DLR to DL! Those are great suggestions, maybe even some leftovers from the night before will work. I get a MM on Thursday (will be in the parks Wed-Fri) 10/22, so it's regularly 9am opening. I might do a quick bfast at 7am and then take a nice walk over there...luckily being by myself I don't have to worry about DH whining about the walk!! :rotfl: It looks like Mimi's a must. It's crazy how much the parks have changed from when I used to go all the time! I was last there in 04, and DTD was there but didn't have much time to explore outside DL and DCA.

Honestly, our best breakfast was at Denny's.

As soon as everyone got up, I said that we are going out to breakfast before Disney.

It was delicious, and a great way to start the morning!
