We are heading down to Disney at the end of November for the Very Merry Christmas Party! YAY!

We will be using the basic dining plan and have 2 kids ages 4 and 7. Thankfully they are not picky eaters at all so we are not limited as to types of food.

We have always used our one table service options for dinner, this year we want to do breakfast. We are looking for opinions on great places to eat outside of the parks (resorts or DTD) for breakfast on the day of the MVMCP since we do not want to go into the parks until the night of the party.

The Rainforest cafe serves breakfast (only at disney locations) and while I don't like their lunch/dinner food, I LOVE the breakfast there. Decent prices too.

Few of my favs

Ohanas at the poly....
Chef Mickey at the Contemporary....
Boma at Animal Kingdom lodge...

I know you said outside the parks so wasnt sure if you've already tried Crystal Palace or Tuskerhouse?

We haven't done any breakfasts at all inside or outside of the parks. The only reason we are doing outside of the parks is this is the day we have purchased tickets for the Very Merry Christmas Party so we plan on not going into the parks that day. We will only use our MVMCP tickets to go into the MK that evening.

Ok i did read that lol...i swear i forget things soon as i read it :lmao:

Ohanas would be great for your little ones! Food is really yummy and your kids would like the charachters. Its also a sit down so you dont have to head up to the buffet, they bring it all to you family style :thumbsup2

How about Kona Cafe? The Tonga Toast is fabulous. Another option is to save your TS credits and have breakfast at Wolfgang Puck Express in the Marketplace at DTD. They serve a great breakfast.

just wanted to mention, Rainforest Cafe is not on the dining plan, so that's out if you're looking to spend a TS credit.

Will you have a car...if not, the resort restaurants are kind of a pain to get to since you'd have to bus to a park or the TTC and then get the bus to the resort you're going to. Then same thing getting back..count on at least an hour to get anywhere...do-able if you're having a lazy morning, though.

How about Cape May Cafe breakfast buffet at the Beach Club (character meal) and then wander the Boardwalk area for a while?

We loved Boma breakfast (no characters, but great food) and then you could tour Animal Lodge...gorgeous lodge, and see animals from the viewing areas ont the savannah. Could spend an hour exploring AKL

Or, breakfast at Kona Cafe or 'Ohana (characters there), and then explore the Polynesian, then monorail tour to see Grand Floridian and Contemporary...that's a fun morning, too.

We will have our car with us so getting to the resorts won't be a problem if we don't feel like taking the buses. What do you think of Chef Mickey's or 1900 Park Faire for breakfast?

O'hana's sounds good and so does Cape May. Our DVC home resort is the Beach Club Villas but we have never done Cape May for breakfast. We've had the dinner buffet many times and find it to be one of our favorite. When we go down in November we are not staying here. We will be at OKW, another first for us.

I'd definitely try Cape May. It's so fun to see the characters in their beach garb :).

Our favorite for breakfast is Cape May at the BC :goodvibes. The characters are dressed in beach clothes, which is very cute......and the BC atmosphere is nice :). We also love Ohana at the Poly ;).

NOTE: This is a new location for a breakfast buffet. The
buffet has significantly increased its variety, and now is
very much worth the visit. At just under $20 per adult, it
is extremely reasonable for a WDW buffet. For breakfast, it
is probably the best-kept dining secret.
It has Mickey
waffles and delicious sweet potato pancakes. They use
local fresh fruit and vegetables. For those with a smaller
appetite, one can do the usual ala carte breakfast menu.
