One of my kids has food issues at breakfast. It's hard to explain; she's not picky per se, but has sensory and anxiety issues and she needs to start her day with a rigid routine. I am not going to be able to recreate her beloved microwaved eggs (gross, I know), but I am wondering what breakfast setting is the most relaxed to reduce the overall stress of her morning irritation. Room service breakfast is not very appealing based on the menu I saw online. How do Cabana's and MDR compare in terms of ambiance?

The MDR would be less hectic/noisy. But the food available in either would be similar. Cabana's being a buffet, the MDR a sit down, menu service venue.

I second the idea of bringing the food back to the room. I often did this just as a time saver some mornings when they slept in a little. They didn’t seem to mind that I left with plates full of food. If you know what she would like, then you could have the calm of your room, but with the selection of the buffet, which is more than is offered on the room service menu or in the MDR.

This is what I did and will do again. I tend to wake up earlier than my daughter and husband so I'd throw on sweats and run to Cabana's, bring back food for me and them. I'd sit on the verandah eating my breakfast and drinking my coffee in peace while they slept. When they woke up they had food to eat and were happy. Neither of them are big breakfast eaters so some fruit and a cup of cereal was good....they didn't know what they were missing with my Mickey waffles. :)

If Breakfast pastries help lift spirits, Daisy’s Delites (on the pool deck) has fruit and pastries available in the morning. Daisy's is far quieter than Cabana's.
