Whenever I travel to the west coast (DLR or Vegas) my body typically stays on Eastern Standard Time. It doesn’t matter how late I stay up the night before, I typically wake up at 4am/7am (PST/EST). So when I at VGC in a few weeks is there anyplace to get an early breakfast? I can’t seam to find anything that opens before 7am PST. Where can I get a GOOD breakfast early and still be at morning magic rope drop by 6:45am?

Yeah, most Denny's are open 24 hours, some IHOPS too. I always pack some fruit to tide me over because even on vacation I wake up at 5 AM everyday.

You could eat at one of the places mentioned on the first day, then on the other days you could pick up something at the bakery or fruit stand in DL and take it back to your room for the next morning.

We pack cliff bars & fruit. The fruit might be more difficult since you are flying in but throwing a few cliff bars (or similar) into your suit case won't be too difficult.

I'm the same way when we travel to Hawaii. I either like to have breakfast fixings in my room so I can sit out on the balcony in the gorgeous early morning, or else head someplace like McDonalds, grab food to go, and sit outside. At Disneyland, I'd try to find someplace to sit outside the park and watch everyone get their day going.

I agree with others, you can eat in your room or there's a Denny's on Harbor that's 24 hours.

I'd get an order from Vons and eat in your room at VGC. You can also order waters and snacks for during the day.

I am almost positive that I read about 24 hr. room service at the GCH.

There isn’t anything at Grand Californian, DLH, or DTD that opens before 7am?

We also like to bring stuff to do our own breakfasts to hold us over in the morning, we pick up cereal, muffins, yogurt, granola bars and fruit, etc.

Have fun!

When we stayed at the DLH in June 2010, the coffee shop there definitely opened before 7 AM because I remember DH drinking his coffee and me munching my bear claw as we walked through downtown Disney before Magic Morning began.

In the GCH, White Water Snacks may be open before 7. I don't think anything in DTD is (one chief complaint from those grabbing a bite before MM).

We just do Von's since in my opinion there is nothing. I get up at 0430 and it drives me crazy there is nothing close, so we eat in the room.

I couldn't find a posted time on allears.net so I wasn't sure. But most people state they can't find anything open prior to 7.

Where are you staying? I recently stayed at PPH, and one moring we ordered room service for breakfast to be delivered at 6:00 am, and another morning we at at the surfside lounge in the lobby who opened at 6:00 am as well. We easily made it to magic morning entry.

staying at VGC. I’m trying to avoid back tracking to PPH or crossing Harbor Blvd, or Katella Ave.

What ever happened to the 24 hour Monorail Café on West Street?

The space the was formally the Monorail Cafe is now where the Rainforest Cafe is. When they expanded the Disneyland Resort, The Monorail Cafe & other buildings of The Disneyland Hotel were demotioned to make room for Downtown Disney.

Staying at the Villas you'll have a full kitchen, I suggest getting muffins, bagels, bread for toast, maybe some eggs & bacon/sausage, some fruit, maybe even cereal and milk. Then you can just eat in your room before you go :)
