I understand about the 2 seatings for dinner and have set my crew up for the first seating (6:00PM). I also understand that on the last day (Saturday) we are assigned 6:45AM for breakfast because we have first seating for dinner. Given that I have a DD13 that likes to sleep, and DD6, and DS6, I suspect I will never get them up to get them ready and out for 6:45AM. I understand that there is an alternative of Topsiders for breakfast which keeps serving from 6:30AM-8:30AM.

My question really involves the rest of the week. Is there an assigned seating for breakfast every day, or is it strictly Topsiders whenever we get there?

Thanks... Paul

There isn't assigned seating for breakfast the rest of the week. You can eat at either Topsiders (buffet) from around 7:30-11am or you can go to Lumiere's and they'll seat you from about 8-9:30am - this is on sea days, I believe. The hours change around a bit for port days - open and close earlier, etc.

At both places, you just show up when you'd like during the open hours and either seat yourself (Topsiders) or get seated by a host/hostess (Lumiere's). I think Parrot Cay might offer a buffet breakfast a couple of times as well.

And don't forget, you're not limited to eating just ONE breakfast! I often got up early to get a croissant or muffin and coffee from the "early bird" tray outside Topsiders, and then ate more later with the rest of the family when they got up and going. My parents often ate a "sit down" breakfast at Lumiere's while the rest of us enjoyed eating al fresco at Topsiders.

It's also easy to pick up a tray and bring cereal, fruit, rolls, etc. back to the stateroom for sleepy/lazy kids and teens... and there's always room service (which we never used for breakfast because our stateroom wasn't far from Topsiders)...

DH and I almost always had a light breakfast delivered to our room each morning. In the vanity drawer you will find cards to fill out to order your breakfast for the next morning, and you just hang them outside the door. Your breakfast will be delivered at the time you specify. We brought $2 bills from home just for this! The food is "free" but you need to tip the person who brings it. We usually had breakfast delivered about 6:30 (croissants, muffins, coffee and juice) then about 9:00 or so, we'd have our "real" breakfast at Topsiders!! They have the normal breakfast fare of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, etc. plus "made to order" omeletts. We went to Lumiere's one morning for breakfast as DH wanted eggs benedict, but they insisted on seating us with another couple and we wanted to be alone, so we left and went back up to Topsiders. We thought the buffet was fine for breakfast, and very, very good for lunches as well!!
