Does anyone know how much breakfast costs per person at Ohana's? It seems as though Disney is raising prices at most of their restaurants and Allears has a price listed from January which might not be current.

Also, we're DVC members that paid for the dining plan and have racked up quite a few ressies. We have nine table service credits for our ten day stay and we're trying to figure out how to to disperse them wisely.

We plan on eating at:

Ohana's - Dinner
Tusker House - Breakfast
Coral Reef - Dinner
50's prime time - Lunch
Trails End - Dinner
Beirgarten - Dinner
Wave - Dinner
Crystal Palace - Breakfast
Via Napoli - Dinner
1900 Park Fare - Dinner
Chef's De France - Dinner
CRT - Breakfast
California Grill - Dinner
Ohana's - Breakfast

Any suggestions on how we should use our credits would be greatly appreciated. I'm sitting here crunching numbers trying to figure out which combination will make the least impact on our wallets. . . lol.

TIA!

I saw they were increasing the breakfast costs. Not sure what it is now for Ohana.

When we do the DP we usually choose 1 TS/day. However there have been times we did a breakfast too and in that case we pay out of pocket for the breakfast. Via Napoli was fairly cheap for us as we just got pizza - it was like $35 for two of us. Trail's End isn't too expensive either. So I'd pay out of pocket for those and/or the breakfasts. Even though Tusker House looks a little more steep than it used to be!! What is up with that?

My husband thinks because people on the DP are trying to get more bang for their buck with the free dining offered, Disney increased costs for buffets to encourage more of them to choose buffets which would open up ressies for nicer sit down meals for those not on the free dining plan. Good conspiracy theory.

The only way I can justify the costs, is if the food actually met up to the price. Thirty dollars for essentially eggs and potatoes is highway robbery!

I think next year we might forgoe the DP and do just a few sit down meals. Cooking in our villa is looking more and more appealing these days. Thanks for your feedback!

You could also segment your resssie and switch to DxDDP for one or two nights depending on how you have your ADR's booked and then you wouldn't have to pay OOP. We have DxDDP for every other night of our upcoming trip and it is allowing us to have 3 TS meals over the course of 2 days which is going to work out perfectly for us.

I didn't know you could do that! So, essentially I can choose which nights I want to have the Deluxe plan?

We are getting a 2 bedroom Unit next trip and eating out less than half our meals. I am not going to be coerced into buying a dining plan so that I can save money on $40.00 buffets. I might even go off site for the first time ever.

Yep. As long as you are staying on points you just call member services and they can set it up for you. The only draw back is you will have to get a new room key on the days that you switch plans. We did every other night on DxDDP and that gave us 3 TS credits to use between two days.
