We will already be doing Ohana for dinner one night because I know DH will love it. Now I want to choose a breakfast between Ohana or Chef Mickey's. Would you do Ohana twice (dinner and breakfast)? Or try Chef Mickey's for something new?

I should add that DS LOVES Pluto (hence the avatar). Is Pluto at both places?

Since you are already going to Ohana's for Dinner I would definitely choose Chef Mickey's. Pluto is actually at both character breakfasts.

I agree with the PP- go to Chef Mickey's for breakfast. While I'm not a big fan of CM's food, breakfast is, well, breakfast, and is hard to screw up.

If it was just straight up choice between Ohana and Chef Mickey's, I would have went Ohana. But since you are already going there have to make the call for Chef Mickey's. Save Ohana breakfast for next time.

I would do them in the same day if I had to choose. I'm not the biggest Chef Mickey's fan....

My recent character experience at Ohana was terrible. I sat for at least 30 minutes before the first character came. I was literally done eating and waited another 30 minutes to see all of them. I would have left but we were there for Stitch so I had to wait for my son. The food was better, but the character rotation was horrible. Literally, half the restaurant got up to leave at about the same time as the characters FINALLY got to our side. They were all clumped together. I have never seen them like this, and I have been to just about every character meal there is.

Everyone else is right, though--the food at Ohana is better. While I have checked the box on Chef Mickey's, the breakfast is better than dinner. For dinner, I might not go back even if someone else is paying for it. But again, my kids have outgrown the traditional characters.

I haven't been to Chef Mickeys but we loved Ohana. Food was good, DD had fun doing the little parade and shaking maracas, and the characters were great.

We've eaten at both many times and although Ohana is one of our favorites for breakfast, Chef Mickeys has always been good. Since you're doing Ohana for dinner, I'd give Chef Mickeys a try for breakfast.

If you want a different atmosphere and not returning to Ohana then I'd say Chef Mickey. If you are wanting to choose the option that has much better food vs. food that is borderline horrible (my opinion) then I would return to Ohana. :goodvibes

Food wise, Ohana'. Experience wise, nothing can beat Chef Mickey's, especially for little ones! If your son loves Pluto, I think Chef Mickey's is what you should choose!

Not to be annoying... By my suggestion is to look into Cape May CAfe for a character breakfast rather than Chef Mickeys. Better food better experience imo :)

Ohana has better food . Our Chef Mickey's experience was horrible, including character interaction. I agree with DisneyLvr55...try Cape May if you don't want to try Ohana for breakfast.

We're doing a split stay with a BC stay the second half. I will have the deluxe DP for the first half and need to fill in an extra table credit. So I'd rather do Cape May when we're stay there and pay OOP.

Thanks everyone for opinions so far! I love hearing the advice. I'm still torn between the two but now you're all giving me a lot more to think about. :)

They don't have breakfast, but I wanted to mention that there is great character interaction with Pluto at the Garden Grill. And I just remembered that he also is at breakfast some days at Garden Grove at the Swan/Dolphin resorts!

My recollection of the Character interaction at breakfast at Chef Mickey's is as a drive by!

'Ohana breakfast is much more of a relaxing character meal. You get to sit down and food is brought to your table family style. We love not having to get up and down like at the buffets to serve ourselves. Character interaction is very good with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, and Pluto. Plus - the food is very good. We've done both breakfast and dinner at 'Ohana on our last two trips. I highly recommend it!

I totally agree with Figmentmommy, food is delicious and great interactions, we book it for our first breakfast every trip and wouldnt change it for anything!

My son has always loved Chef Mickeys it is his must do meal.

Our experience at Ohana was so bad DH will not consider giving it a second chance, Terrible service and long waits for characters.

Oh my! SInce you are going to Cape May later in the trip, I woul choose 'Ohana. THe food is good, and hopefully the less than stellar character interraction reports here were an anomoly. I hope so because i have 'Ohana booked as our farewell breakfast!
