It appears Riverside only has quick service breakfast any buffet or family style places close by?

The QS breakfast at both Riverside and French Quarter have eggs, waffles, pancakes etc. There are buffets/ family style breakfasts at the parks and some of the Deluxe resorts. You will need ADRs for most of them. Unless you want to go off property.

Let me clarify, I’m familiar with the park and monorail hotel breakfast but this is my first stay at Riverside, not sure what other hotels are nearby for a quick trip for a breakfast buffet. This will be for a non park day.

I would take the MK bus, walk to Contemporary and do the Wave Breakfast Buffet.

There are no hotels nearby that you won't have to drive or get a Minnie Van/Lyft or take Disney transportation to ... and that would mean to a park and transfer/walk. If you have a car it would be easy to do ... "quickly" but otherwise nothing easy.

If you have a car I'd look at BOMA at AKL, easy drive, easy to park etc. Or research the CBR Buffet. Reports have come in they are letting any guest eat there not just CBR guests. That is assuming you are going before the end of the year.

The closest WDW hotels are OKW and SSR . Neither have a buffet or AYCE breakfast . Whispering Canyon in the WL has an "All you care to enjoy platter." & Fort Wilderness has a buffet at Trail's End.

None. Close to POR is POFQ. I think nothing at Disney Springs is really open for breakfast. Neither OKW nor SSR has a buffet, although I know Olivia's serves breakfast. Otherwise, breakfast at the Deluxe resorts - not especially close - or in the parks.

Only things on weekdays on our last trip open for breakfast in Disney Springs were Wolfgang Puck Express and Earl of Sandwich which are just QS(the QS Pizza Pointe hadn't open ) . There are a some brunches at a few TS on Sunday ( maybe Saturday too ).

Cape May Cafe, Disney Springs Rainforest Cafe, Bon Voyage Breakfast at The Boardwalk (again, nothing really close unless you take the boat to Disney Springs)

With Cape May being the only buffet among those. (It seems the OP only wants to eat at a buffet.)

You'll need to either take a bus or boat or drive your own vehicle to get to any other resort other than PO French Quarter. None are walking distance.

Ravello at the Four Seasons has a breakfast buffet, with Goofy & Pals a few days a week. It’s fantastic. The Four Seasons is in Golden Oak which is right next to Port Orleans, but you would need to take a Minnie Van/Uber/Lyft if you don’t have a car.

How about the bus to MK and then the boat to Fort Wilderness for the Trail's End buffet? Since it is a non-park day maybe you could explore over there? Ride bikes, something like that? We did the pedal boats one time at the Meadow trading post, and that was fun.

Rainforest at DS does not have breakfast, only AK.

IMO, the quickest option would be bus to MK then walk or monorail to Contemporary. The bus ride to MK from POR was less than 10 minutes, and the fastest commute to a park we thought.

OKW has a great breakfast at Olivia's, albeit not a buffet. It would not be quick or easy to get there in the morning though, unless you have a car or are willing to take an Uber.

I think we have a winner!! Thank you.

If you are comfortable using Uber, that should be a pretty inexpensive trip since they would drop you off at the main entrance/bus depot at Fort Wilderness. But it would save a ton of time if you are eager to get to breakfast. Then you could take the scenic way (boat to MK) back.
