How early do you have to leave your stateroom on disembarkation day?

I like the idea of not putting our luggage out and taking advantage of express walk-off but I wouldn't like draging it all to breakfast with us.

I am also less than thrilled at the idea of a crowded, noisy breakfast adding to the stress and chaos of a travel day.

Is it possible to bring a tray of breakfast from Cabanas to the stateroom for an early but quiet family breakfast in the stateroom before taking up all our luggage and leaving the ship?

We order some room service sandwiches the night before, pack them in ziplocs and enjoy them in the morning. Makes for a good breakfast before we head out and no one needs to brave the craziness of the last morning buffet.

And walking off with your bags is delightful. Waiting to be called made me feel like I was trying to exit at Ellis Island. Not a relaxing end to a relaxing trip.

How long did you wait? It must be difficult waiting around with antsy kids with nothing to do.

I didn't think room service works on disembarkation day?

We have done breakfast at the sit down situation before and also brought stuff back from Cabanas... we prefer to eat in the room with stuff brought from cabanas because the sit down is really early, like 645

We always order room service that morning. The dining rooms are madhouses.

I think room service stops at midnight on the last night except for concierge may be able to order it.

I do like the idea of bringing stuff back to cabin from cabanas, thanks all who suggested it.

Consierge can order room service for breakfast, continental breakfast only, I think on disembarkation

On the Magic I found no trouble with breakfast the last morning. We were in Lumiere's with a time of 7:30. We ate leisurely and since our table mates did not come to breakfast had more than enough room for bags. Afterward, I picked up my rum and walked off the ship. I never heard any call times or anything like that.

I feel like we waited at least 45 mins for them to call our group --Tinkerbell. Your luggage is grouped so when they call the character that is on your luggage tag, it means that your luggage has been taken from the ship so it's time for you to claim it. Everyone is waiting for the call so there isn't any available seating so people end up sitting on their suitcases or on the floor. Maybe it's different now. We've walked our luggage off on the past 2 cruises.

So if you don't have the luggage taken off for you, you don't have to wait to leave the ship? (assuming all is well with the port and customs)

We have never waited to be called to gather luggage from the holding area. Is that something on the Magic and/ or Wonder? We have only sailed Dream and Fantasy from Cape Canaveral.

We have sailed the Dream twice and both time, just walked off when we were done with breakfast. Don't recall ever hearing groups being called to exit.

We have done 2 Dream (tomorrow we board for our 3rd) and 5 on the Fantasy and have not waited either. I wonder if it it has to do with the size of the port terminal buildings. Perhaps they don't have the kind of space that PC does?

The Magic in Miami - you had to wait for your group to be called. And then the luggage was on the big airport-style luggage carousels.

Jeez. I had no ideas Cabanas buffet was open on disembarkation morning. We went to the sit fm down restaurant, but would have preferred the buffet.

I used a plate full of bacon and donuts as an incentive to wake up for my kids on that dreaded day...easily brought from Cabanas...we spoke with the room steward to be sure we met his schedule...makes leaving just a tiny bit easier...it was a trick I learned on the boards...most folks don't know Cabanas is open

It depends on how late you are with breakfast. In Miami, by the time we were done with second seating breakfast, there was no calling. We walked into the terminal, found the correct area and grabbed our bags already waiting for us. It was no big deal and nice not to drag them all over the ship.

If you go to Cabanas on that last morning, will you miss out on any specialty foods that the dining would have or are they very similar for breakfast?
