Breakfast in MK

So we had planned on having breakfast at Kona for my birthday, then hit MK at the 9 a.m. rope drop. Well, since we are doing four parks in one day challenge for my birthday, and just found out Disney changed the hours (again) so that MK is now opening at 8 a.m. that day, we need to change our breakfast plans or risk having ride lines by the time we get to MK to kick off the challenge.

So where can one get breakfast type items in MK without having a character breakfast reservation? Thanks.

Sleepy Hollow Refreshments

Get the Nutella and fresh fruit waffle sandwich and thank me later.

The potentially good news is that Sleepy Hollow has phased in new, thinner waffles for use on the sandwiches. It may or may not look like it, but these are about 40% less thick than the originals. The Nutella Waffle for $6.69 is otherwise a terrific value, slathered with Nutella and piled high with fresh strawberries, bananas, and blueberries.


Sleepy Hollow Refreshments, located in the shadow of Cinderella’s Castle in Liberty Square, is home to some unusual food items – a large, homemade cookie ice cream sandwich, chicken and waffles, or seasonal items – but many do not know it is where you can get a Belgian waffle sandwich filled with chocolate hazelnut spread, strawberries, and bananas. The waffle is made to order so it is warm when it is served. This also allows the chocolate hazelnut spread to be generously spread over the whole waffle. The fruit is fresh and plentiful, and while this treat is labeled a sandwich on the menu, don’t forget your fork and knife, because you’ll need them!

For us eating breakfast in a WDW park was always viewed as a valuable time wasted when early morning means low crowds and lines and an opportunity to enjoy many attractions before the masses arrived, so in 15 trips we never once ate breakfast in any park, always had drinks with muffin or cereal in the hotel before heading to the parks.

Looks like they open up at 11 am

Since when? I'm going to be very disappointed if that is the case.

I know we hit them at 9 am in September and MDE has them opening up at 8 am daily this and next week?

Well I would if I were a fan of hazelnut (can't stand the stuff). HOWEVER, you gave me a valuable tip because I didn't know they had breakfast items there. The waffles themselves sound like a good idea -- and my eyes went right to the funnel cake Thanks!

Looks like the Lunching Pad doesn't do breakfast anymore. And apparently, All Ears shows Tomorrowland Terrace serving breakfast as of last year, but not anymore
