Hi Folks

I'm planning to do breakfast in MK at Crystal Palace and Tusker House at AK but what about DHS? :confused3

(Wanting to take advantage of getting in the park ahead of rope drop)

Any thoughts?

H & V is the only character breakfast in DHS. Were going in Aug. It gets bad reviews alot but I want to try it for myself.

Do you have toddlers in your party? If so, then go to H&V. If not, grab a breakfast pastry at Starring Rolls or The Writer's Shop. For a hot breakfast platter or egg sandwich go to the ABC Commissary.

We've been to H&V many times and we only go for the kids to see The Little Einsteins. Last Wednesday we were there for breakfast and the service was just awful! We waited forever for our beverages. Then when I finally got a pot of coffee, I had to wait for a cup! :sad2: The characters were off schedule. They didn't come around until we were finished with our meal. They were running out of items on the buffet and didn't replensh them in a timely manner. It was just not a fun breakfast.:headache:

We had lunch there last Monday and had a wonderful experience. Service, food and characters were all fantastic.:thumbsup2

Thanks for the tips everyone :thumbsup2

I'm torn as to whether to do breakfast in DHS or not :confused3

I want to take advantage of being in the park ahead of rope drop, but I really don't want to spend a whole lot of time in the restaurant, just an eat and run to TSM ;)

Do you all think it is worth doing?

I've had a Fantasmic package dinner at H&V before, and it was OK, but my son is 18 and not into Little Einsteins (I think) :lmao:

I don't understand the bad reviews. I love the breakfast buffet at Holywood and Vine. It's a character breakfast and the food selection isn't as diverse as crystal palace, but for the spread they have, it's great.

We go to H&V every trip. Last trip, I think we went twice...

Pick up something at your resort or grab a bite at Starring Rolls - Hollywood & Vine is definitely not good eats!

This is our DHS routine: Grab coffee/banana @ resort, be at DHS early for rope drop, go directly to TSM, get FP, ride and then go to Starring Rolls for breakfast (not a hot breakfast, just quick pastries/bagels) and relax at one of their tables. Then go back to TSM with FP, or something else to fill in time before FP window.
We like Starring Rolls not only for the treats but for the location and people watching as well!

Lunch begins at the Sci-Fi at 11am. I'd much rather get to DHS at RP, run to TSM and go on a few rides, then have an early lunch and call it a day. You'll be out of the park before the crowds and the heat increase.

I'm just saying, if I didn't HAVE to go to H&V for my two year old, I would never go. I'd much rather use a TS credit at the Sci-Fi or 50s PTC.

We had a terrible meal (food and service) at H&V for breakfast last time. I will never return. I suggest getting a bite at your resort!

This is good too!!

I do want to try and get an ADR at 50's Prime Time Cafe for Dinner, as last time I was there (Dec 2008) it was a blast :goodvibes

Thanks for all the suggestions, DIS is great for tips and great people on these boards :thumbsup2
