DH and I will be at the world for 6 short days to celebrate an early anniversary. (those darn annual passes just suck you in to going again) We are going to enjoy Flower and Garden Festival and Star Wars Weekend staying at the Swan.
When we were at WDW for our anniversary last June we enjoyed some new restuarants (I can never spell that) for dinner.
Now we would like some new ones for breakfast. No characters please, we used to love Tony's......and have been to Kona Cafe. Any other suggestions out there?

Maybe Boma at the AKL, the theming at this resort is beyond belief, and while we didn't eat at the breakfast, dinner was fantastic and breakfast is a must do on our next trip.

How about The Grand Floridian Cafe. DH and I really enjoyed it when we were there back in May of 2001. It was the last breakfast we had in Disney and it was a WONDERFUL way to end our awesome vacation. We paid about $45 after tip for some outstanding food. I had the steak and eggs and DH had the vegetable frittata. I had chocolate milk and juice and DH just had juice. We also had a side of melon.

Give it a try, I promise you'll enjoy it. :D

From the Swan, you will be within walking distance to Spoodles on the Boardwalk for breakfast. Very nice & adult oriented. Then you can walk about 5 minutes to Epcot easily from breakfast, through the International Gateway.

I also highly recommend Boma at the AKL. If you have a car, drive, if you don't, you can walk over to MGM Studios & catch a bus at the entrance to get to the AKL.

Flower & Garden is fabulous! Bring your camera. Check the Flower Power concert schedule to see which '60's bands will be performing while you are there. Enjoy!

Last year there was a brunch that sounded wonderful at Epcot in conjunction with the Flower and Garden show. You might want to see if they are doing that again.

Boma breakfast is good but is more conventional than their dinner. I had an omelet with Swiss cheese and grilled vegetables, and I would really like another of those.

There's a pretty good breakfast buffet right at the Swan. I have a friend who likes it better than Boma but I prefer Boma. The Swan didn't have Swiss cheese for the omelet. This is a character breakfast on Saturdays only; the rest of the week there's no characters.

I think Epcot now does that food & flowers brunch only on Mothers Day and it must be a beast to get reservations for.

I have heard Spoodles is good, but haven't been there myself since they deep-sixed the buffet.
These days, we like Boatwrights (table service), Maya Grill (buffet) and Yacht Club galley (combination table and buffet). Also, you might enjoy Olivia's. Since we stay at OKW we always do one breakfast there (table service).
And oh how we miss Tony's!!

Uncleromulus-we sure miss Tony's, too. The huge cinnamon roll brought to the table with the coffee. The tender, flakey, loaded breakfast calzone was an all-time favorite menu item at WDW. It was great relaxing at the restaurant watching other guest scrambling down main street to get to the attractions! We usually just have cereal in the room (a token gesture toward keeping my cholesterol under control at WDW), but had to go to Tony's. Sorry, wdl, kind of got off the subject & no help at all with your question! Have a great trip, we will be at the Swan in 10 days!!

We just got back on Sunday and had two breakfasts at Spoodles. First one we had the Mediterranean platter. Its all you can eat. Starts off with sweet breads(4 kinds), scrambled eggs, bacon, italian sausage, a small wrap (forgot what was in it with a yogurt dipping sauce), potatos with onions and peppers, french toast and bread pudding. Alot of food! The next time I tried their breakfast pizza: Wheat pizza crust with scrambled eggs, cheese, red sauce, and I subsituted bacon for the sausage instead. Everything was very good and both times we had wonderful waitpersons. I would go back again. :)
